Maybe something with the fact that T’Challa is as close* as the non-mutant superhero community has to a leader at this point?

*not being known for their ability to keep up a united front for long

That bullshizzle can come later the main focus if we're talking comics is to get the Tchalla BP lead selling in big numbers which obvioulsly is not easy for a black character despite how mainstream the character has become the comic numbers are iffy, I'm all for a story driven narrative that possibly leads to something major but me personally Tchalla doesn't need a new skirt on his arm but what the character does need is someone who can write consistent stories that's not alies RadJack. No shade towards the man but if you're aiming for something better than that calls for a better writer
A love interest is one of the last things I named for a reason. It's not a top priority, giving T'Challa his poker face back and him being written as the most dangerous man alive is. Right after that is T'Challa being a complex warrior-shaman integrating Wakanda on the world stage and dealing with new, interesting villains in the process. His supporting cast is not the most important aspect a run should fix but I do think it needs to be cut down and focused around a core team, one of which should be a love interest.

That's literally how superhero comics have been written for years, love interests are part of the genre and there's no logical reason T'Challa shouldn't have one. That said, I think you're overestimating how much I care about T'Challa getting a new love interest. As long as it's not Storm and she's written in a decent supporting capacity I'm fine. There are more important things the next writer has to address than a side character. Like I made clear in the post you responded to, T'Challa is the first priority. A love interest doesn't need to be introduced in issue #1.

I'm not questioning your love for the character but from a personal standpoint Tchalla's character would be better off without *insert random woman* Marvel already fuked up the relationship with ororro for no real reason and after that it needs to stop there. No strings, no rings, no one nite flings it's time to focus on the real and even if you don't agree with me i doubt anyone in here can give examples of how a relationship with some random skirt benefits tchallas character other than *because comix*. I'm over the love interest thing in comics never was a real fan of it to begin with, i liked the BP and storm thing because it had massive potential but thats dead now and i rather Tchalla be a Sonic than a Mordecai if you get those references.

C'mon chief, even i know better not to use that watered down mini series as an example especially you look at the fan reception of marvel shows after EMH ended. Plus other than that KiB series i highly doubt you become the GUY behind the pen of a main series comic run so yeah you're right I don't hear you but to my defense i ain't hearing much but that shouldn't matter to you, no disrespect.

I want to see essentially what T'Challa and nighthawk were discussing in Avengers. The full scope of what T'Challa is doing and how he is handling the situation. I want main focus on T'Challa > Antagonist (home-grown) > LI > supporting Cast in that order. Supporting class includes Okoye, Shuri, Kasper/Akili and an MCU M'Baku. Okoye and Kasper/ Akili will be representing the DM and HZ and giving us a peak into their ranks, as well as the Wakandan military.

The message is see Wakanda and Die. It's time to show WHY to a fuller extent. Let's get an idea of what the Wakandan military can do.

Geopolitics and superpowered espionage. And I want to see a Battle of the champions of Wakandan gods. [/B]

I'm not responsible for "marvel shows." Just the one I ran. couldn't care less about "fan reception" to any of the others. but, just so you maybe think about this sort of thing later before popping off again- shows don't stay on the air if nobody watches them. MILLIONS of people, worldwide, watched all those shows. Personally, I didn't very much (because they were mostly aimed at a MUCH younger audience.) but when you talk about "fan response" you're not actually talking about very many people.

Plus other than that KiB series i highly doubt you become the GUY behind the pen of a main series comic run so yeah you're right I don't hear you but to my defense i ain't hearing much but that shouldn't matter to you,
Since I'M the one who told YOU that i won't be writing the main book, i'm not sure how you think that's an insult to me. but, y'know, do you, homey.

    no disrespect.
Nobody cares whether you "respect" me or not. I certainly don't.

    2wice. Trust me, I'm good.

Sorry about this, folks. I'm not feeling any BS today. it'll pass.

Considering Redjack actually likes the character and has been consistent in his writing of the character, I don't see how he couldn't be THE guy. Guys like Hickman and JA are good too but we have seen what they will do to T'Challa at the drop of a hat if they decide to deconstruct.. and it's bad, T'Challa looks like utter Isht. When they tear down, they tear way down and don't provide enough badassery to make up for the poor treatment. I'm honestly kinda done with ,"big names" for now I want a guy who wants to write T'Challa and wants to elevate him for NO OTHER REASON THAN TO GET HIM TO THE NEXT LEVEL. That's RJ.

    Thank you. Me TOO.

    Hell on wheels.

Thanks for representing in the industry man.there's a bunch of us trying to do stuff right now i think some headway is being made.
if you look at the rosters there's a LOT more black and brown in there than ever before and all of the writers are top shelf. I'm expecting greatness out of both the big two in 2021 (and I'm not even talking about ME.)

It's just strange that some don't want T'Challa to have a LI. Every other character in comics that has a solo can have a LI or sexual relationship or a dang booty call but T'Challa can't have one because he doesn't need a LI to define him. What utter bs nonsense.

Is T'Challa supposed to hide behind the throne with a Kung Fu grip on his rod while everyone else engages in some kind of relationship with other sentient living beings?

That comic book should never be made.

I invented the Kung Fu Grip...

Oh wait that's not what you are talking about my bad!

    Wakanda.

    The throne room.

The elders gathered for what would be the most important meeting of their lives.

T'challa: "You all wanted to see me."

Shuri: "Actually I called for this meeting because the elders had brought something to my attention concerning you."

Shuri pauses, takes a deep breathe and...

Shuri: "Well you know how vibranium works by absorbing energy... And it does this in many forms. With that said due to security concerns every incoming transmission is automatically intercepted by our security net down to its' most minute details. Whether it be in the form of sound waves, sonar radar or internet bandwidth we capture it. Also, for security reasons various members of the tribal elders have access to this in case of extreme emergencies and protocols. You see..."

T'challa: "Where are you headed with this Shuri?"

Shuri: "It's better if I show you."

Shuri ignites a Kimoyo bead that begins to access T'challa's secret account.

A very well endowed BBW with a hair weave down to her calves comes to life...

BBW: "Hello your highness welcome back to 1-800-PANTHER-PORNHUB... Have you been a naughty king. OOOOh let's take it to the waterfall... Is this your king... Is this your king..."

    T'challa: "Okay okay that's enough!"

The elders look around at each other and nod in agreement.

Shuri: "Uhm... The elders and I agree that it's time for you to get some."

T'challa: "I just did get some... Didn't you See Wakanda and Die I was kicking @$$ and taking names out there!"

Shuri: "Not that we mean like... Get a mate or a queen."

    T'challa: "Oh!"

Shuri: "I mean... If you want to continue this lewd behavior I could set up a seperate account not available to the elders discretions but seriously though."

T'challa: "I get it... Sometimes I'm stressed out about all this being two steps three steps ahead of everybody that I want someone else to be in charge for a change."

Shuri: "In charge of... Oh never mind I don't need any more visuals."

T'challa: "I hear you and I'll get on one of those dating sites and choose carefully."

Shuri: "I took the liberty of scanning your profile, tastes and dislikes and narrowed down your options to a couple prospects from Detroit and Atlanta."

T'challa: "Do they have Tig ole Bitties!"

Shuri: "EW, you can do that your self... BYE!"

It's because some people are only comfortable if black men are portrayed as one Asexual, gay, or if they are in a relationship then it is more likely an interracial relationship. Nothing is wrong with the later two, however, people always seem to scoff at the idea of a black man being in a healthy relationship with a black woman and feel the need to insert dysfunction into it.

A LI wouldn't define T'Challa, that's a weak and lame excuse not to have one for him. No comic book hero is ever defined by a LI. How many heroes do we see how have relationships, or hook ups without issue, but for T'Challa all of a sudden they will define him so he needs to ride solo like he has been doing since AvX, and is only ever allowed to have something when Storm happens to drop by (and even then more often than not she is shade throwing and he just takes it) before he is back to going solo player.

I don't care what anyone says, the 3 most important characters in the book should be T'Challa, the Villain, and the LI. With T'Challa standing clearly above those two

Cotdamn i lost it at the waterfall part. I gotta say, I think it would be hilarious if T'Challa and Shuri interacted like you have then in your bits. I keep saying it, I want someone to pen your posts. They are hilariously awesome
