Shuri replaced T'Challa before without them killing him so I don't know why Marvel is even thinking along these lines.

Like I said earlier BW is dead in the MCU along with Tony and Steve but they still have them around in the MU. It's a pretty stupid idea to kill him so that it falls in line with a movie universe that isn't the same.

Well now that the recast movement is finally gaining steam, hopefully people call Marvel out on this bullshit. In the meantime our best hope for T’Challa is a video game since that seems to be the one medium that’s free of the MCU’s influence.

What's funny is that Black Widow is dead in the MCU but they're still putting out a solo with Natasha as BW along with Yelena in the book as well.

Yea stuff like that gives me a lot of hope the MCU isn’t gonna the ONLY thing that influences editorial and that they’ll let T’Challa be in the comics. But I don’t expect black characters to get the same treatment as white characters at the Big 2 so there’s that lol.

I don't think T'Challa leaving the Avengers is pointing towards them getting rid of him altogether. They always reshuffle the line-up at some point so tht wouldn't be a big deal.

Too bad Agents of Wakanda didn't last too long, that could have been the team book he needed. Adding WS and Yelena alone would give the book some oompf.

If he did leave the team i would want him on an Ultimates book that ACTUALLY takes the term "the ultimate team to take on the Ultimate threat's" seriously. No more cosmic sciencey exploring whole secretly being a Galactus book.

The team. Takes. On. Big. Threats.

T'Challa - lead
Blue Marvel
Spectrum
Invisible woman
Janet
Strange

Everyone on the team is powerful and fulfills a special role. And they would proactively protect the world from cosmic threats before they got to earth. Things like going to alien worlds where isht is going down and putting down threat's. They would be galactic peace keepers who's goal it to end the threat. Peacefully or otherwise (mainly otherwise)

Especially went after Ryan Coolger (when he was not bashing Sana Amanat).

So why would I take him seriously? What is he going to say? We got Blue Marvel? We don't need T'Challa?

Black Panther is the only black property at the Big 2 putting out the most material starring black folks at 21 books (only Batman, X-Men & Peter Parker are putting out more new books). Shuri has 6 of them. Miles is next at 5.

Bashing or belittling Black Panther is not going to benefit ANY black character at Marvel. He got his.

Yeah, we're all pretty much wary, weary and worn out from the past few years of BP stories. We get sprinkles of good things in other titles but for the most part T'Challa has underachieved. We're afraid to believe that we'll get a good T'Challa, especially in his own solo.

Blackness and struggle are synonymous...even in fiction it appears.
