So it looks like it's going to focus on NuM'Baku and why am I not surprised to see Storm. Calling it now when this ends T'Challa will make NuM'Baku regent, governor, or whatever for the empire.

It is the easiest and least convoluted way to do it.

Due to Thanos, BP decides space exploration is a must for Wakanda to survive. He goes on the first voyage as a way to endorse it, something goes wrong and they dissapear.

This does two things for the plot as well... Shuri is racked with guilt because it was HER project (character development away from quippy kid) and other parties (aka Atlantis) see that Wakanda is potentially weak right now and plan their attack or whatever.

You can get a quick-ish vague memorial thing if you want but vague enough you can bring him back if they want. I don't see how this isn't a Win Win.

Anything is better than blowing the dude up and having a drawn out funeral.\

I would say it's a joint project. Shuri feels guilty because he let her lead the project while he would simply review it, hell you could take it a step further and add in a little bit of comics Shuri arrogance from Hudlin "I thought I couldn't be wrong, I thought my equations were perfect, even when T'Challa pointed out my calculations were off and the correct formula and I brushed it off, I am the one running the design group now, he put me in charge so why was he correcting me in front of my team? I ignored his corrections and now he is gone because of me"

Easy way to establish super genius T'Challa, allows for growth for Shuri while keeping them in their lanes. Let's be real Shuri comes off as a know it all, and would likely scoff at T'Challa telling her she is wrong, maybe in a playful way but there would be offense taken, given her age she would be cocky as hell. She would feel guilty and grow from the situation and it keeps T'Challa alive, and fixes the issue of not making it clear he is a super genius rather then somewhat vague quotes like the mention of his civil habit being his design and the emp beads

Yep. No excuse. You came up with that on the fly and that sounds way more reasonable and understandable than anything coming from Disney. Inexcusable for Marvel to not just go this route.

I just wish Marvel would stop being so damn secretive. Otherwise with his popularity soaring it can pressure them to course correct. Just hard waiting and putting trust in them to make the right decision.

Right decision? Dude, they ranted and raved for year's about how CM would be the new fave of the Avengers, how she was the strongest hero, how she was going to be the amazing thing.. all before she even debuted. T'Challa received wildly positive reviews from fans in CW, and a shit ton of hype and positive energy from all over when his movie was announced and they thought he was going to do... Antman or DS numbers? While they banked hard on Carol and despite her movie being a success there's alot of mixed feelings around her.

They introduced an advance African King of an unconquered African nation decades ahead of the rest of the world and between IW and EG, they killed off T'Challa, didn't have him square up against BD except in a obviously very rushed CGI blink-and-you-miss-it clip of him awkwardly punching BD, then let frakking banner kill him? Okoye had a better fight sequence against midnight with widow.

Trust they will do right? They have been sleeping on T'Challa from the jump despite him numerously exceeding all expectations, and now Feige is saying Wakanda was always the focus and it more important than T'Challa, and also that seemingly only Chadwick could ever play T'Challa... You trust that?

Dude everything about this sequel, all the information about it is having the opposite feelings do the first. The first all new info produce a shot ton of hype, now? It all feels very... Wrong

Well that certainly takes a lot of pressure off of T’Challa if that happens lol. Still hoping Ridley can bring back NuNakia. Especially if she gets cool new powers like Shuri did.
