If the book didn't say Black Panther you wouldn't know this was T'Challa. And they still had to tell you who it was.

Stelfreezes interiors are trash except for background things.

His idea to make the royal line "extra dark" due to some pure royal blood line thing was ridiculously stupid. Especially since Ramonda ain't even Wakandan and Shuri is only half.

I think we just need more artists who know how to draw black hairlines. They're out there. Marvel just needs to (be willing to) find them and hire them.

They won't. Because they need artists who can be as bad as they can be yet the book still sells because of who is on the cover (looking at you X-Men Greg Land versus Mighty Avengers Greg Land).

We saw how every excuse was made to NOT buy Power Man & Ironfist over Sanford's art. Meanwhile no one else at Image or DC is having an issue with it. Nor Khary Randolph's art on Excellence.

No one is above criticism. Stelfreeze set the stage for covers, and marvel has continued to give BP straight fire covers that started consistently with stelfreeze. His artwork was Beautiful too. But when it came to action or characters faces, particularly the royal family?[

Oh Stelfreeze’s action scenes were garbage tier lol. A lot of that comes down to Coates not having an eye for action (or fun at all) but Stelfreeze is legit terrible at conveying scale or any sense of energy in his fights. He had the Golden City nearly fall to like a dozen orcs lol. Acuna was a massive step up in that department.
