    I think it’s best as special-occasion-only wear.
“You see…the rest of them are soldiers. But [Wonder Woman] is an artist.”

I only support the made of clay origin.

    This. It's ceremonial garb.

    Same.

Though I like it when it has a gold pattern on the trim so it’s not entirely red like Superman’s.

I agree. She is royalty, after all.

Angelina Jolie as Thena reminds me so much of Wonder Woman. She got fancast so much in the role in the aughts. Eternals proves just how well she would have played that role if they had made the movie in the aughts.

Wasnt she approached for WW but turned it down? Or was it Hippolyta.

I think Whedon had in her mind when he was doing the script for his WW movie.

    Cobie Smulders, actually.

He brought her in for the Wonder Woman movie he scripted, but since that was going nowhere he brought her in to play Agent Hill in the 2012 Avengers movie. She actually voices Diana in the Lego movies, too.

I did some googling and the only source claiming that Jolie was approached for the WW role but turned it down is 'wegothiscovered.com' a.k.a 'wemakeshitup.com'.

So no she was never approached for the role despite the fan interest.

Whedon did say he modeled the character after Angelina Jolie even though he had Cobie Smulders in mind to play her: "“For me, Wonder Woman was basically Angelina Jolie,” he says. “She spends a lot of time flying around. She works in a lot of different countries. She’s very global. And she’s appalled by the way people treat each other.”".

Too bad his whole script was a dumpster fire.

This is so much better than Travis Moore's version of the costume. The skirt's paneled side flaps are back, the white piping is drastically toned down, the eagle is streamlined and less clunky and the winged tiara echoes it. Everything is sleek and polished.

And what is wrong with Barbie all of a sudden? And since when does she wear a winged tiara? If anything it's reminiscent of Lady Sif, She-Ra or maybe Thundra if you squint. Anyway I'm always happy at fairy tale/fantasy aspects in Wonder Woman, they go with her mythological background.

I also appreciate the fact Jen Bartel made the bodice of the costume fit like it's supposed to, instead of hiking it up almost to her collarbone, in some kind of lame attempt at modesty.

Did I state anything is wrong with Barbie? I can be fine with both of them and not want WW to look like a barbie.
