I said it months ago , Punk was the A+ primo star they had wanted since launch and was like their version of Hulk Hogan coming in. They sold a big PPV with that as we saw. Its just all they had to do was book Punk in solid programs and go from there. They had Omega openly seem unhappy when Punk came out 2+ months ago (he made a face with Bucks) and then....NEVER HAVE LET THEM INTERACT last I saw.

They haven't book anyone in a major program after Darby either to Punk so its like...they signed this sought after guy for years and then proceeded to drop the ball. Its like Bret Hart in WCW. Bischoff signed Bret and gave him this big money. Was more about getting Bret Hart and then for a year it seems never booked Bret Hart in a main event scene or made his signing worth it. (Bret Hart did have an ok feud with Flair in 1998 but that was early 1998)

AEW is falling into the trap that WCW had. Yes its great to see all this talent jumping to AEW. But with few big roster/PPV spots program wise...its a struggle to get them all used. Punk is having this issue now. The fact AEW is in talks with Braun and soon Bray Wyatt....jeeze.

So yeah...the "happy to be here" has worn thin. Punk should have been programmed against MJF or God's Chosen Champion right now.
You really can't blame AEW with how Punk's used because Punk is doing exactly what he wants to do. Wrestling midcarders, doing occasional commentary and "happy to be here" is exactly what he wants. The latter is going thin with me admittedly as I want him to start working proper feuds with people.

AEW is building up Miro again after losing the TNT title so he would be great for Punk's for major feud and/or loss.

His 1st loss should happen to a young guy they wanna build up. I wouldn't mind if its Garcia next year. It should happen as Punk is TNT Champion (or the TV Championship). I don't think Miro needs it but a guy like Garcia who is growing into a major star on the show ...him beating Punk for that TNT Championship at a PPV would be a great win and putting someone over.

But Punk needs heel programs and you have to start moving him that way.

    .
Wait what? They've been telling the story for a long time now and Deonna has pretty much run through the division.

Exactly. She's been champion for almost a year, held belts in 2 promotions, was extremely dominant and who finally took her down? An already established legend. Who exactly benefitted from that title change?

The fans!!! She was the bad guy who got her comeuppance! Now she can start a new storyline/revitalize her character a bit. I don't expect Mickie to hold the title for very long, it was just a feel good moment to end this story.

Sure it would have been nice if they went with a younger star to get the rub and beat Deonna, but that's the hand they decided to go with.

Legend doing through a career revival is a compelling story too. It's what made Terry Funk's ECW run and the angle leading to Ric Flair retirement so great.

And they shouldn't be above criticism just because "eh, it's what they want to do."

And how many more "career revivals" is James going to have? It's on, what, number three now?

Former TNA star Jimmy Rave lost both of legs to MRSA. He already lost an arm to the same infection

That is so sad to see. Prayers for the guy and what he's battled the last few years.

This a damning report about Charlotte. She has apparently alienated herself from the locker room

Been reading a lot of reports around Charlotte.

Apparently, she was very unhappy about simply swapping her title with Becky which is understandable.

The part that's strange is the actual segment on Smackdown kind of got off the rails because Charlotte didn't stick to the script. Some folks are speculating that Charlotte dropping the belt and Sonya asking her to pick it back up wasn't entirely scripted. After the segment, Charlotte had a blow out with Becky and she was escorted out of the building.

According to the dirt sheets (which have been unusually accurate lately) she's pretty much fallen out with everybody in the locker room. Andrade tweeting F-WWE does indicate that something is truly wrong with the situation.

The company needs to put Charlotte on ice for a while. Have her drop the belt to Bianca and take her off TV.

Isn't Charlotte and Bianca on different shows now, or was that just Becky that went to RAW...

Part of me wonders if this is just a work and they want us to be invested for Becky/Charlotte for he 23432th time at Survivor Series.

I'll believe it if they actually take the title off Charlotte and put her on ice for awhile. A performer on the lower card who went off script would be released. Nothing happened to her over the Nia Jax incident, if anything, Nia is the one who ended up taking time off.

If Charlotte is unhappy she should take some time off. (I can't see WWE releasing her if she has time on her contract) Sasha Banks taking time off for a mental health break seems to have done wonders for her, when she came back she was better than ever.
