A report awhile back was Tyrus was having knee or back issues awhile. No idea if it's that bad.

He did a whole retirement speech after the guy's 50 it seems legit I don't like him politics wise but I did like him as NWA champion.

I would hope the Jack Perry situation was a work. Because thus far the Torch is saying Punk is fed up with it all. Its why he was saluting the crowd good-bye at the end because he could be deciding to leave finally.

    https://wrestlingnews.co/aew-news/re...ll-in-incident

One veteran wrestler in AEW told the media outlet that “Khan has fostered an environment where younger wrestlers without a lot of experience in the national spotlight feel free to “go into business for themselves” online or live on TV to try to settle scores or send messages.”

The same wrestler feels Punk overreacted to Perry and should have let it go while also thinking “more firm leadership would dissuade some wrestlers from sparking these situations.”

In all....its an insane situation. I hope its a work because the whole idea of glass/no glass sparking this one is insane.

Punk is 4-0 in backstage brawls. He should stick around just because he knows most of the locker room can't take him if they step out of line.

CM Punk....a modern day Harley Race. Who as Flair claims would fight a guy backstage if they came at him. When Punk beat up the Elite last year , Ric Flair joked... "Thats some Harley right there...."

So Punk is the toughest guy in AEW...lol. Don't know if that's good or bad. Maybe that's why Khan is scared of him. Say the wrong thing. Punk might slap the taste out of his mouth.

I guess now AEW will have to release an AEW title for the Jags.

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

Pre-social media/internet wrestling sites, I'd gather that wrestlers would at times fight each other in real-life for one reason or another. Pro-wrestlers are athletic, aggressive, largely egotistical people, who spend their time play-fighting.

So what? I'd think it would be somewhat normal that this type of thing would happen if there is a disagreement. I don't know much about pro-wrestling history behind the scenes, and frankly I don't want to. It's the product...the wrestling show...that matters to me. If the socials/internet rags were around in the 70s/80s...I'm betting great matches would have not happened.

I say let them be tough-guys to each other. If it gets to the level of assault, and law-breaking...well then it can be settled legally. But at that point I'd hope the two tough-guys would brush it off and move on, leaving legality out of it. But I'd guess if one side or the other says "He attacked me and needs to be fired" (barring significant injury) then in my opinion you are in the wrong profession.

If I were to wager, I'd say this was a work though. Jack is already on Collision, showing he doesn't have issues working on "Punk's show". He is a more-purposeful heel than CM Punk. I think this work is a way to get eye-balls and buy-ins for Collision/AEW.

There is a few stories of guys fighting backstage over some issue at one point of another. One story that I never knew til 2010s involved a very young Sting in Mid-South under Bill Watts territory and Dirty Dick Slater. Slater at the time was seeing a woman (Dark Journey I think). Well they were going through issues and Slater learned her and Sting had gotten close. As Sting arrived at the arena one evening , Slater grabbed him and flushed his head in the toilet.

In another Ahmed Johnson its claimed was such an egotistical sob as he was pushed , no one liked him backstage. Least of all...the people he was teamed with in Nation of Domination. Its claimed he got into it was Di-Lo Brown backstage and Di-Lo took him down as people loved it. This was the final straw with Jim Ross who didn't punish Di-Lo (he was worried) and they'd finally let Ahmed go over it.

Forbes (yes that one) is reporting both Perry and Punk will be suspended for at least All Out, if not more.

Perry for instigating and antagonizing on TV, Punk for attacking Jack in gorilla (sounds the the true story is they yelled at each other after a shoulder bump and Punk attacked from behind with a choke).

Also, stadium security wanted the ejections and asked Punk to leave but he was already out for his match, so he left shortly after. Perry was escorted out immediately.

Forbes seems to think Jack will be given the longer suspension.

Punk left on his own accord. He went up to security after he cleaned himself up and asked if it was better if he leave too.

SI is reporting multiple suspensions now, too. Both Jack and Punk are suspended with investigation pending. There goes the WERKT theory.

Joe was the peacemaker and deserves a lot of credit for keeping the match on the show.

Punk coming back with another bag and revealing the "real REAL world title" would be very funny.

Forbes and SI aren't saying that at this time.

Like Brawl Out, it's going to be the real news (like the Florida paper that reported the police report filed on Ace) not the wrestling sites that we're gonna have to depend on for the actual story.

It's kind of sad almost a year to the day, Punk is suspended again.

AEW has the biggest show in the company's history and one the most historical wrestling of all time, and here we are, talking about Punk's antics.
