I do think Windham ends up as NWA champion within the next 100 days or so.
Its not theft , its basically spinning off a successful character onto someone else. Like....Undertaker where his character spun off Kane as we saw in 1997 by being a storyline brother. Here none of this negates the fact the WWE budget issues seem to be ...

    - Costs to go live again which is a MAJOR factor right now. The company to tour the product needs millions of dollars and its a big cost . (Look up how Dixie Carter lost TNA due to costs of live touring)

    - A big lawsuit (with others possible) as we saw they settled one back month ago for millions of dollars and likely will spend major to settle this one ahead.

    - Them not being on same page creatively with Bray Wyatt and screwing up. Which leads us to the below one to show us how bad the company is screwing up....

The company forgetting Black's contract was 30 days No Compete , forgetting about Cole's contract and releasing Bray Wyatt seems to be evidence that putting Johnny Ace back in charge of talent is a massive blunder of epic size. The company bringing back a failed executive who screwed up a decade ago was already making people question them. Now they are becoming a laughing stock.

I'm hoping Cole takes an extended break after Summer Slam. He's been stagnating since losing the NXT title.

Why Vince or HHH haven't fired Ace is just beyond insane right now. The dude has literally cost the company 2 huge stars (Black and Wyatt) and likely will lose Cole as well. All due to moronic moves and ones he comically miss-timed. Like forgetting Black's No Compete clause , not realizing that Wyatt sells a **** ton of merch for the company and basically forgetting Cole's contract expires.

This is in the span of a few months since he got back in full power as VP of Talent.

man Ric must want to run with Tully and Arn down in AEW tbh any type of Horsemen gimmick would be lacking without all three of them involved. Countdown to adjustment on the Pinnacle and birth of the Horsemen. Further countdown to Cody being an inductory member and even further still till the Horsemen turn on him. It basically writes itself.

They seem to be gearing up for a Samoa Joe vs Cole feud.

Word is these cuts are Nick Khan's choices. And at this point Nick Khan has more influence than anyone except Vince

I'm sure the firing are on the Nick Khan but the contract slip ups are definitely on Ace. Being on top of things like no compete and contraction expiration are his job.

That's what WCW did and they lost the likes of Jericho, Eddie, Dean, Saturn, & Benoit in rapid succession.

Couple that with them relying on old stars and keeping down those that may be in a position to flourish (like Finn, Black, Braun, Wyatt, etc.) and raising up those they think people want.

And boom. That is closest to WCW. Not what AEW is doing (sign old guys to put over new talent).

WWE think they can do no wrong at this point because they have contracts but it will bite them in the ass before they know it.

Before long all those talented grapplers opting to take freedom and creativity (AEW 2021 stands in for WWF 1999) over money (WWE 2021 stands in for WCW 1999) ... will make some magic somewhere else.

From rumors they wanted Black back but he screwed up not realizing when the contract expired so its on Ace. The Cole situation deal is a big one on Ace right now.

Someone somewhere brought up the old theory that Vince and co.’s fondest desire is the idea that their brand as WWE becomes so much more important than their talent that no-one will ever be a true “super-star” without their will and say-so again; Tony Khan’s actions would imply they feel they’ve reached that point.

They keep a guy like Corbin on the books over Bray because Corbin is someone they feel they can properly value at a lower rate and who won’t excel elsewhere. It’s more about arguing their system is superior to the talent of the industry.
Like action, adventure, rogues, and outlaws? Like anti-heroes, femme fatales, mysteries and thrillers?

I wrote a book with them. Outlaw’s Shadow: A Sherwood Noir. Robin Hood’s evil counterpart, Guy of Gisbourne, is the main character. Feel free to give it a look: https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asi...E2PKBNJFH76GQP

Hey, Sting's there! They can make him the fourth man, then turn on him a few weeks later. Just like old times...

At this point, the funniest thing they could do would be to have them try it, and just make the joke be that Sting isn’t falling for it this time for some funny reason: either he’s just finally figured it out, finally got around to watching the old shows, or has Darby helping him with his “getting betrayed” addiction.

Only if it ends with Darby betraying Sting.
