My theory is that back when Kenny was considering retirement due to the energy, AEW decided to cut their planned Belt collector storyline short, and began to set Hangman up for the challenge. Then Kenny started feeling better, and AEW decided to shift back to the initial plan. But Hangman was already set up, so they needed a way to write him out for the moment
time to decide if he wants to be an nxt lifer or not.
damn, didn't even know she still worked there.
i really don't want to see that, unless..................
there's some ripe fruit hanging there for the picking. in the right hands it could be magic. i know some guys

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”
Personally I think it's because Kenny won't defend at All Out. The way how they been building the show it's clear Jericho and MJF will headline. They have Punk and Bryan coming in. There's too many things that can easily overshadow Page winning the belt.

So you're telling me there's a chance?....Kurt Angle (who recently revealed he's been delaying increasingly-needed neck fusion surgery) names his price for a last match. AEW need only pay the tiny pittance of 10 mill.
https://www.wrestlinginc.com/news/20...-match-in-aew/On the latest episode of The Kurt Angle Show, the 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist revealed what it would take to get him to come out of retirement for one more match. Angle put $10 million as the number that would get it done. If Angle were to return to the ring, the WWE Hall of Famer said he’d love to go to AEW.
“If they paid me $10 million, I would do one more match,” Angle said, seemingly joking. “I’ll wrestle Kenny [Omega] for $10 million. I’ll get my ass kicked.
“Mrs. Angle [would kick my ass], I’m more scared of her than anybody else. I wouldn’t be able to tell her, there’s no way she would let me do it. She would lock all the doors from the outside.”

quick , tony khan , flash that 10 million to sign up kurt for a deathmatch with omega. punk will be pissed afterwards and demand 10 million from khan as well.
I don't want to see Kurt back in the ring. His last run in WWE was sad. He was slow, couldn't move right, had a huge swelling on the back of his neck and just generally a shell of his former self. I understand that most fans didn't want Corbin to be his final match but for the good of his health he should let it go there.
For 10 mill, Kurt would probably have do 3 moonsaults thru panes of glass and wrestle 60 mins with Omega. Yeah, I’m a huge Angle fan but I’m not even 100% sure I want to see a new last bout for him. He would need to regain a lot of shape he lost (and may not be able to regain).

I'm just reading that the storyline for Kross is for him to lose and look weak. Until Scarlet is brought on alongside him.
That's a pretty quick way to ruin the guy.
I was going through my FB feed memories today and it was when I was in Japan for G-1 Climax 23 aka G123. My comments on pictures were hilarious:
"After day four of the G-1 Climax 23, I have to say, 1)If I never see Shelton Benjamin wrestle again, I'll be happy; 2)Why on Earth did the WWE get rid of Davey Boy Smith, Jr.? 3)I'm a Prince Devitt fan now!"
2 of those 3 things are still true to this day.

I've hardly watched an ROH match that was past 2008. I started watching ROH thru its DVDs in 2002. And man, I loved it because it had AJ, Samoa Joe, Danielson, Low Ki, Daniels all in one place, doing some of their best "indy" work. I have high standards for promotions I'd say.
Those 5 were like the "new" generation of great wrestlers for me back then. Running parallel some to the great Benoit, Eddie, Kurt, Rey, Edge (Smackdown) generation that I was digging at the time. I only started watching TNA because it had AJ, Joe, and Daniels....at that point, I didn't care about Sting or Jarrett or Nash or the other ex-WCW (or ex-WWE) legacy guys (Kurt Angle I did still love and he did have some legit strong work during his TNA years, but of course it was mostly only with AJ, Joe, and Nigel McGuiness).
