I've never seen his father wrestler and I'm not an expert on Andrade, but I've seen three or more of his greatest matches (including his amazing match against Atlantis in 2015), but I noticed that Schiavone said Andrade was a second generation wrestler when he's actually a third-generation wrestler. "His grandfather, José Andrade, wrestled under the name "El Moro." (I know some argue Cody is third generation given Dustin, but Andrade is a clear unarguable at least third generation)

Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft
Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”
Yes, he's part of the El Moro family.
You have Moro, Brillante, Moro III, Zafiro, Espanto Jr, Polifacético, Zafiro II, Diamante Jr, Gema, Espanto Jr II, Zafiro Jr, Brillante Jr II, and Andrade. Dragón Rojo Jr is technically family but not actually related to them (he is allowed to keep the diamond). Diamante (the CMLL one) is married to the daughter of Brillante. And those are just the big names. I think there are roughly a dozen others that grappled a few matches and were done. They are a pretty big luchadore family! They are Mexico's largest wrestling family but not most famous. Kind of like the Harts in that they let "adopted" family be a part of the tradition if they like them enough.
I'll see if I can find a Brillante match but 80-90s lucha is hard to find ... even in the tape trading days.
Calling him second gen is correct in luchadore terms because you can't claim family ties if you don't claim your family "name" before you change names/lose mask/cut hair/etc.

Very interesting. In American wrestling terms I consider Andrade a third gen wrestler, but I see what you mean.
I definitely collect some lucha matches from the 90s, I have a nice bluray with like 20 of the best lucha matches of the 90s (featuring Rey, Hijo Del Santo, Casas, Gringos Locos, Pscisosis, Juvi, Ciberneticos, etc). And then I have Atlantis vs. Villano III (March 2000). And Andrade vs Atlantis 2015.

Kyle O Riley contract expires in December. Kyle should leave. There will be no place for him knowing the direction the company wants to take NXT
Beastie's Match You Won't Find On a Network
Brillante/Diamante/Zafiro vs. May Flowers/Rudy Reyna/The Rose
10/11/1992
Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico
AAA
AAA TV Sin Limite
NOTES:
- "Gay panic" and transphobic angles/matches/characters were super popular in lucha early to mid 90s.
- Not the best showcase for Brillante, I'll see if I can find better
- The Trios group, Las Gemas del Ring, in this match is his big claim to fame
- The Three Amigos, with a block and then the final to the corner turnbuckle was a staple of Brillante but not in the match

Interesting (and makes sense when you consider NXT's existence)..."Doc Gallows Recalls WWE Wanting To Try To Get Rid Of The Indies:"
https://www.wrestlinginc.com/news/20...of-the-indies/Gallows then recalled what WWE’s attitude is towards companies outside of WWE. He noted how that attitude excludes talent like Darby Allin from potentially breaking out.
“I did hear this, WWE, I know at one point, there was a philosophy, which I hated hearing when I was working, they basically wanted to get rid of all the indies and have everything self produced by them, and this was before AEW had officially launched,” Gallows revealed. “And that was kind of the plan. Hey, we’re trying to buy Ring of Honor, for example. I don’t know if that’s one of them, but they probably tried. But luckily, these people held up and said no, and then AEW happens and now we’re seeing it’s fruitful for everybody, which is really important because if it’s a monopoly, we all know it’s boring."
“This (the indies) is the lifeblood and the grassroots of what pro wrestling is. It needs it for its function. Where do you get people from? Grab them (an indie star) and make them we want them. They’re all gonna be the same. I remember when I first signed too, a couple years before that, everybody that came out of OVW looked like they were ready to step on bodybuilding stage. They all wore trunks. They all had the same haircut. It was like a meat factory. Darby Allin would have never had a job. We would have never known where Darby Allin is. He never would have gotten a chance.”

I don't think you could ever kill off the Indies. There will always be a group of people who are passionate about the sport and want to do it and perform, but don't necessarily want to do it in WWE. (Despite what WWE tells people)

Sounding like Thunder Rosa is being prepped to join a stable. And she's out of concussion protocol, so yay!
