A lot can be said about the WWE schedule and how some were happy with the way they did 2020/2021 at going to a location and filming RAW and Smackdown etc. Well as I watched a Gerald Brisco interview he brings up how insane the 1980's WWF schedule was. And why it led to Jack Brisco (his brother) quitting one day.
- Gerald brings up this schedule of 80 days on , then some days off and then 100 back on ! It was a wild schedule of one day being in Madison Square Garden one day , then flying to Portland , then back to ...(ok you get it). Well at 41 Jack Brisco was tired of it. That he grew tired of the living in a motel room and suitcase. So one day before taking another flight he told his brother he was going home. That he was done and he did just that.
- Jack never wrestled again. In an old interview from 1997 I believe he details he was 41 and wanted to retire. That this schedule was as intense as the schedule he was on back as NWA World Champion. Now he was older.
- A popular story that has grown over the years is the Brisco's when they sold their majority stake to Vince McMahon were promised lifetime jobs. Both brothers refuted this. Jack in his interview claims they were just promised money and that was it. Gerald claims the same deal.
