It's wierd seeing donner superman with cocky, pissed off smile instead of the welcoming one....You know,I can't really see chris reeve as goldenage superman. But,he kick that guy in the bar.
Anyways, this idea of dr.manhattan just randomly appearing infront of superman as he is about smash start the superhero boom is very cool.i tend to think.Supes(goldenage superman) when he did that he also ended his own era as The last of the pulp heroes with batman instead.there is a clear difference between these outlaws/misfits..etc(famous ones) and a modern superhero. It's wierd to see a deconstructed superhero meeting a pulp hero, here. While, the intent might have been to show a deconstructed superhero to meet a superhero in all his glory. That is'nt how it came of to me.I don't consider goldenage superman as a superhero. He might be a hero. But,superhero?i don't know.geoff johnes was mistaken in my view.dr.manhattan should have been teleported to not a superman but a superboy or even the batman/superman origin or even the superman origin by bill finger.
“You sold us out, Clark. You gave them the power that should have been ours. Just like your parents taught you. "
This line always stuck to me from dkr.I kinda interpret it as bruce who idolizes zorro calling out clark for betrayal.Kind of a stretch and might be false, but a sentiment i hold(i just prefer a different flavour superman.one that leaps is all to be around).I mean, many people do kinda still see batman as this pulp hero stuck in superhero world.Regardless,i want the hat back..dammit..Ending my stupid ramblings...
