I have a question for FF fans. It always bugged me that FF is a team of explorers who push the boundaries of science yet the only scientist on the team as far as I know is Reed. What are the expertise of others other than Ben being the pilot? Is this explored in a particular storyline?

Eh. Never bothered me. They're based on the Challengers of the Unknown and none of those guys were scientists.

I like the 90s cartoon dynamic where Reed was the scientist, Ben the pilot, Johnny was the engineer and Sue was the manager.

At the time the Fantastic Four was created, DC had four teams of four adventurers.

The Challs were four guys who didn't know each other before their plane went down and they all escaped death. Then they did a lot of scientific adventuring. Sure, I see similarities.

But...

Cave Carson's crew consisted of Cave, a scientist, his brawny buddy, Cave's girlfriend, and a young man
Rip Hunter's Time Masters consisted of Rip, a scientist, his brawny buddy, Rip's girlfriend, and her little brother
The Sea Devils consisted of Dane Dorrance, a scientist, his brawny buddy, Dane's girlfriend, and her little brother

lol, That really is my favorite Sue. I loved her as leader back then. As for the uniform, it should go to Nita.

I am amazed by how much the angle of looking at the art affects my perception of it. Typically we see the art head on but this angle makes me feel like I'm actually looking at the paper, seeing at as I hover and move.

So why is Ben in the helmet he wore after Wolverine slashed his face? What is this work representing? FF members or looks of the past ?
