    When you put it that way, that does make a lot of sense. Let's see how live-action deals with real world problems. I think it will be slightly different.

    But even if he did that, wish her own mental issues he lazyly gave her at that time(But Really after Children's Crusade it was Possession so I rather that story to explain mostly everything that happened then), if we just go with what Bendis gave to use in those stories, that is even furtherly offensive cause that just ignores the really issues of mental issues and grief was "Trying" to explain to us she had, that it can be magically taken away and shows major underling problems with how offensive writers use this constant plot point to get what they want but never address the real struggles and reasons they are for characters.

    But even more further is that as a writer by making someone Genie Level Powers, you back yourself into a writing corner when you make to OP Characters that can honeslty do anything you wish on such a level, yet they just don't fix all their own problems that is further offensive with what Bendis got at, so Unessary and Offensive Tension is what is left with the reader and where even more anger is made.

    Either way the way Bendis dealt was this was he Damned his own story right at the start with using Mental Issues Lazyly and Offesively, Made her a Genie but never gave why she could not just fix herself which would be so many other levels of offensive and just made it all happen for this was all really for;

    Making her a plot devise cause they did not want Wanda or many other classic Avengers arount to get to his New Status quo All-Stars Justice League Avengers and Marvels New Dark Statues quoes they where going foward with at the 2000's mid time.
    Great answer! Thank you for sharing. I feel bad Wanda got swallowed up into so much drama fifteen years ago. Let's hope this show rehabilitates her reputation.

    Loved WandaVision. It's like a cross between 60/70s sitcoms and The X-Files. Really good show so far.

    Question for Wanda fans, Comixology is having a Wanda and Vision sale... I was wondering... if anyone could let me know the best purchases on there? Looking for Wanda comics that will educate me on her (and Agatha Harkness stuff). I only know the modern Wanda stuff (and when she appeared in stuff).

    Ya know considering it looks like she's about to throw hands with Vision and ya know in that scene she had probably just popped out the kids not too long ago claps & snaps for Wanda's snapback!

    Vision and the Scarlet Witch
    Avengers #57 for Vision or Avengers Epic Collection: Behold the Vision (both have Avengers #57)
    Giant Size Avengers #4 or Avengers: Vision and the Scarlet Witch (both collect the same stuff pretty much)
    I don't see Nights of Wundagore on their list but I think at least some of the stuff will be in the show https://www.comixology.com/Avengers-...N1bHRzU2xpZGVy

    Those are the ones I think are the closest to the subject matter of the show.

    One that probably won't be but is still relevant and good is Doctor Strange #60 where Wanda, Doctor Strange and Monica Rambeau all feature. I read that one every Halloween.

    And you really can't go wrong with most of those titles. They are all good Avengers tales (minus Byrne's destruction of the relationship).

    Thanks for the Questions Vitaminbee and Very Glad to Hear you want to learn more about Wanda and Educate Yourself on her, that is always one of the best things to hear, Welcome to the thread!

    GenericUsername did a Very Nice Job underlinging the most important books as it pertains to learning about Wanda, for both her most important history as well as learning for the WandaVision Disney+ series.

    As GenericUsername, Avengers Epic Collection: Behold the Vision will get you Avengers #57 as well as stories dealing with stories around that issue. So I would go with the Epic Collection:

    https://www.comixology.com/Avengers-...Expc3QvMzY1NzE

    Also as stated before get Avengers: Vision and the Scarlet Witch since that deals with Giant Size Avengers #4 the Wedding and starts off the Solo Series of Vision and Scarlet.

    https://www.comixology.com/Avengers-...Expc3QvMzY1NzE

    Other I would recommend would be the Avengers: Vision and the Scarlet Witch - A Year In The Life collection to get the rest of the Vision and Scarlet Witch solo story.

    https://www.comixology.com/Avengers-...Expc3QvMzY1NzE

    As for a Classic Clift Not Style history in a Single Issue of Wanda and Vision's Relastionship and growth BEFORE the Solo series I HIGH Recommend Avengers (1963-1996) #234, was likely my 1st Scarlet Witch Avengers Comic from long ago and gave me an EPIC intro into Wanda and Vision's Early history together in 1 classic issue!

    https://www.comixology.com/Avengers-...Expc3QvMzY1NzE

    Those are the Most so Far I would recommend to get caught onto Wanda and Vision, but other I would include below for both Recent Updated History on Wanda and Key Stories to understand more of where WandaVision is going;

    Avengers: Scarlet Witch by Dan Abnett & Andy Lanning

    This is a great rec list, you guys. CJ, I would humbly request putting it in thread OP, so new readers can always see it. I feel it is going to be needed in the coming weeks, as more and more people become familiar with Wanda through the show.

    Perfect! Thanks, CJ. Hopefully, people will be curious about her through the show, and can start getting to know her by reading these stories. Far too many people only know of her through internet articles referencing HoM. Having the stories where it shows her as a hero and a person can combat the perception of her.

    Forum users have discovered the meaning of Agnes's medallion. They are the Graces, from Greek mythology, holding a branch of wheat. The graces are associated with the lunar goddess Hecate, exclusively as the patron saint of witches.

    Intersting find! I always though of Hecate as a generic goddess of witches, didn't know anything about that.

    I am amazed that in the first two episodes there is essentially nothing that I did not like.

    It’s just in the second episode the scene when Vision was at work – while in the first episode that was great – this felt too long for me. Too me, that wasn’t funny enough or interesting enough to be that long. But that’s insignificant compared to the rest, really.

    I didn’t expect this to be so funny. I never considered sitcoms from the 50’s and 60’s to be my thing, but it just works. Also, without spoiling much, there are a few moments that I found just chilling, and I loved that! I know a lot of people were irritated by the low age-rating, but one has to keep in mind that there is something like psychological horror, and I don’t think the people who do age-rating even recognize that. I guess they just fast-forward it all while looking if there is something that is visually inappropriate for children.

    The critics are loving this show, and one has to consider that they have seen the third episode already. The audience score is remarkably strong considering how experimental this is.

    I am also pleasantly surprised that after all the casting announcements in the recent months, this is very much focused on Wanda. I do expect Monica Rambeau to get scenes on her own eventually. But the actress makes a real good impression on me, doesn’t seemed to be hired “just to have a Black Face”. But I’m sure some people will claim that anyway.

    Also I have to let it sink in that these two episodes gave about as much screen time for Wanda than the five years before!
