I understand the need for practical wear but when it comes to the magic side of the marvel universe I want the outfits to look fabulous and outworldly.

Look at this one, she's basically the Megan Griffin of anything Dr. Strange, so boring and pedestrian, it's like that hat is stitched to her head.



Sooo totally boring and out of place:

I mean, anime, comics, games can go as crazy as they would like.(If said work is not aiming for "realism")
But in live action the actor/actress's comfort will have to be taken into account.
Again, Zelma is meant as a "normie" unlike those magic users.

In comics likely. But not help to poor Liz's feet, ankles, hips and back. I gave up heels permanently.

Do models even need to be beautiful? They model clothes.

I just always heard some stereotype where men liked to be taller than their girlfriends/wives. It's not something I believe in (I don't believe in any of these sexist social constructs, but this is what I've heard)

As for the MCU, many have mentioned in this thread the suits also have to be comfortable for the actors. I can agree on that.

I think high heels are fine for Wanda, she can fly and she fights with magic so they shouldn't be a problem for her. Though I can see why live action would leave them out.

She was the first Wanda I ever saw. I remember disliking her as a kid but I still thought it was messed up how they brainwashed her too think of Magneto as a good father

I would love animated series, but again Marvel didn't really have a good track record these years.
Avengers Assembled tried too hard to be close to MCU(and they botched their none-MCU synergy parts as well.)
If they ever make an Avengers animated series again, I hope they don't follow the MCU cast, like please seriously, stop giving people the impression the "OG6" are the only active Avengers.
