I get that. I'm just not used to it. I'm stuck in the 20th century. I stick to cable. And I don't consider 40 to be old at all. I mean, we have NFL quarterbacks who are thriving today are over that age. Oh, I also wanted to agree with something you said some weeks ago. About how robots and humans get together all the time in science fiction. I think the first time that kind of thing appeared on television happened back in the late 1950s on the Twilight Zone. A famous episode titled "The Lonely" went into great detail about it:

It was a pretty sad episode to be quite honest, with a shocking ending. I think Serling was a pretty talented writer. Schaeffer was influenced by the Twilight Zone. I'm wondering if she ever saw the Lonely.

Yep, it's been a thing for decades now, so I'm not sure why people treated Wanda and Vision like some weird case when comics also have a heavy element of sci-fi. Just look at Jack Kirby's art!

Totally agree with you. Nothing new there. Wanda and Vision are an unconventional couple to those who don't read science fiction. But comic book readers are used to this kind of thing. However, there are some differences I want to point out. When Star Trek: The Next Generation did a "romantic" episode called In Theory, Data got together with a human lady named Jenna. But it really wasn't a committed relationship. It was just a funny and poignant episode (it remains one of my favorites because it was hilarious):

Wanda and Vision were married, had kids and even got divorced. I think there's a level of commitment there that just isn't present in other AI/human relationships. What IS common with all these stories is that these relationships eventually break down.

The first Wonder Woman movie was a perfect example how to make it right. "Captain Marvel" at least had one strong male character, that main Guy from the Skrull. My main gripe with that movie is that I think Nick Fury was goofy, for the lack of a better word.

Some people sream "SJW" just when they see strong female characters, without further looking into it.
Nick Fury being goofy may deserve some critism, but again, it should be critism.
It can never justify the hateful and misogynistic behavior and takes thrown at the character and the actress. The Quartering type if I am being more specific, if there are any in Wanda's fandom, I would probably want them out.

Exactly! Lizzie's face to that is priceless! Take that all you stupid youtube-videos and articles who claim that Wanda is gonna be the villain in Doctor Strange 2.

I loved her Anya! She was one of my favorite characters

I assume she had been cast, and only now it is revealed. If only now she has been cast, that would be a little late, haha!
