Eaton draws a great Logan, though. Beefy and stout, as he should be.

There were a few continuity errors in Wolverine Vol 7 9 though:

    * Professor Thorton didn't become involved with all of the Team X players until the Weapon X Program and given that we saw the Wolverine's time in the program in detail and we know he goes into Department H right after that, Team X could not have occurred behind the scenes. However, I suppose its reasonable to assume that Thorton's time with the CIA in Team X is what inspired him to use their agents for the Weapon X Program and set up Shiva to kill them all.

    * Maverick calling the Wolverine by that codename when in Team X. Logan didn't get the Wolverine codename until Department H in preparation for Alpha Flight. Although X-Men: True Friends did have him by that name in the 1930s, so maybe this is just canonization of that.

I do quite like how Percy's doing more with Maverick than I think has been done with him in ages.

Maverick hasn't been around since the first arc on Aaron's run so that's not a surprise.

This was my favorite issue of the series thus far. Kubert remains one of the definitive Wolverine artists and this felt like a real throw back to Larry Hama/Chris Claremont feeling to the character. This issue was great.

Same. That’s what I’m loving about it too. Percy’s Wolverine run so far has been excellent.

I do wish his X-Force was stronger, though. The art from Cassara is phenomenal, but Percy doesn’t excel at writing a team book IMO. There are great issues, don’t get me wrong. But then there’s a lot of filler too.

This issue was a good story. Probably the auction is the sort of thing X-Force should be buttoning down instead of running around after zombie clowns that snuck into Krakoa in a giant birthday cake, but the pay-off justified it being a solo Logan story.

Did anyone else besides me go "Logan you f-ing idiot!" when he dropped the bloody napkin? I mean seriously i expect that kind of thing from Deadpool but one would think Logan would have learned by know what with Laura and Gaby's existence being proof that he can't just leave stuff like that around. More because he just saw them auction his hand.

To be fair, with the amount of blood he sheds on a regular basis, there’s no way Logan could collect/clean it all up so that none of it can fall into the wrong hands. Just saying.

Damn, if only we can get more issues like this. It was a decent issue but I wanted more interaction. Like it was some kinda of Casino Royale or "whose Wolverine's hand was that conspiracy" with some cameos like Mr Fixit or anything.

I did a quick review thread if anybody wants to move the discussion there. Great issue.
