I’ve been having a debate with some friends of mine about Ororo. We were discussing popular writers who could potentially do a really good job with Stormy. Who we would like to see write her in an ongoing. My popular choice of course was Geoff Johns and Gail Simone. But anyways...

Question for all of you. Which popular Comic Book writers would you NOT want to EVER write a Storm ongoing? Talking writers who haven’t had the opportunity before in solo or team books. I was surprised to hear some of the names from my friends. Curious to see what you all think?

Also, are there any creators that you know of, that love Storm so much that have yet to have been given the opportunity to write her?

Put your fan bias aside and think about this, If this was a fight to the death. The. Odds. Would. Not. Be. In. Ro's. Favor. At all. I'm not trying to diss you or anything I'm just simply saying that Storms chances in a death battle against a woman bred and trained to fight literal gods and isn't afraid to kill and can take damage and dish out harder damage is not losing to someone like Ro. Sorry Devaish but the Tchorro thing is still a thing whether we like it or not, it's not even that big of deal if it works it works. I honestly don't see the problem the with pairing all personal bull aside. Out of all the problems our girl has as a character and narrative alone Tchalla and the Fam aren't one of those problems. I'm sure you'll be fine ma boi, I'm just super sayin.

I understand that to the fullest. Trust me. But you know, if it works it works. I know some in here don't like the relationship because of past discretion and as a fan of both characters i'm neutral in terms of this relationship. Hell Devaish even coates didn't like the relationship but he made it work despite his feelings plus it's obvious that if the two can coexist in the same space with writers that know what they're doing it's no harm no foul. I'm ok with the relationship all bias aside, it's cool i mean that's a couple could probably take over the 616 earth if they wanted so it's whatever with me.

Question. So bringing this question up before means I have an obsession? I certainly disagree with the notion but if I did, why would it be an issue? Isn't this what boards like these are for to discuss and debate questions in the regard? I never ONCE said she would beat her 100% or even 20% of the time and only stated that she could win, which from a canonical standpoint Ororo could win depending on how she chose to attack Diana.

You mentioned she changed a lot since then. Is she 100% immune to internal attacks? Can she not be hurt by lightning at all? Been reading the current run of WW and haven't at this point read anything to suggest that she has any defenses against those forms of attacks.

And since you suggested as such please please go Stormphoenix on me, don't let any prior interactions between you and myself stop you.

Though I want her to be Regent I have not put much stock into it. But I just kinda remember Magento is going on trail right after the gala so it actually make sense it might be her. Though Magento could always evade the law on planet arrko bit I guess be the Regent just look how GotG meeting's about to go.

On a different note i am shocked because Storm being regent of Sol if true and being based on Mars is the first time i have truly felt Storm and Tchalla would work and if written well am wanting them now so bad. I am completely taken by suprise. but the idea of the Regent of the Sol system with the King of the most advanced Nation on earth just sits right. I feel if it was ever right this is their time if the x-books actually produce a X-men:Guradians of Sol with storm leading and picking her team. I just imagined her counseling with Tchalla after a rough day. Walking through one of the Krakoan gates to her bedroom with Tchalla and them conversing on what's happening in the galaxy. It may be because Ewing wrote one hell of a tchalla in ultimates but for the first time ever i feel they could truly work so well on the comic landscape if what we think is happening is. It solves every issue i ever had with them.

Well beyond Storm calling her man basic after he did the most for her.

Seeing how they just move Arrako off Earth I guess my hopes of a conflict between the two nation may not happen. Perfect Difficult position for Storm to be in.

This was a decent an strategic move on Storm stories development part. If the Xoffiice screw up this golden opportunity just hang up her cape and send over to Black Panther cause at least over there they know what to do with all that Storm on their hands.

Yh I definitely would like to see them interact with each other once she is the queen regent. It would make for interesting plots and even a more solid foundation for their romance which is built from their diplomatic incursions. But I was wondering are they not together already?

I hope they would capitalize on this and since its Ewing writing I'm some what encouraged it will.

After planet x I have some questions for the other Storm fans, should Ororo require a breathing apparatus like she did on mars before the terraforming was complete? Could she survive in the sun’s corona? Should her body be able to adapt to the “atmospheric” conditions of earth’s deepest ocean?

That would be in interesting power upgrade. I'd rather her able to accomplish this feat by turning into an elemental being.
