exactly. I dont want any regression of the character to occur and that writer based upon past stories most certainly will do that.

Exactly. He was horrifically regressive for Storm. Even his take on villains was…zzzzzz. He was writing 1970s Storm, someone who had not yet been shaped into a pragmatic leader and hero over decades of growth and development. He didn’t seem to get her at all and it definitely showed in how she was written. I hope she doesn’t end up under him if he is in fact returning to X-Men. The only character I liked under him was Magik, who was edgy, creatively powerful with her portals, and she has a bad ass look.

What I’m not understanding is if she can gather the atmosphere from Mars and bring it into space and she can gather stray hydrogen atoms around Silver Surfer…. Why can’t she just gather stray Oxygen atoms from space and envelope herself in it. Even though Oxygen isn’t abundant in outer space is still exists enough for her to be able to create a personal atmosphere .

Yeah I think this should be doable for her. I guess it depends on how abundant oxygen is and how far it is away from her position.

didn't he have her say something akin to I abhor violence or something along those lines. the way you described his writing - 1970s storm - is so accurate. we love 70s storm but her experiences were well beyond that depiction..

I'm sure she can but we must remember the air we breathe isn't just pure oxygen. there are other components as well (more nitrogen than o2). so if she were able to draw all of those mix it together to breathe im sure she could but that process would be more involved than just taking air from Mars.
