Just a question for those who appreciated the very first X-Men movie in 2000.
After Toad literally beated her to death, Storm summons her powers - wind and lightnings.
After the wind has pushed Toad through the window, you can see huge flashes of lightnings still running amok in the room, despite Storm is leaving out that space and walking toward Toad... what's the point of that massive display of lightnings? And how can they even "exist" if Storm was already out of the room?

ALL HAIL THE HADARI YAO, THE OMEGA'S OMEGA, BEYOND OMEGA, THE VOICE OF SOL!!!! NOW AGAIN THE ONE TRUE AND ONLY GODDESS OF THE X-MEN AS CLAREMONT INTENDED!!!!!
I believe it was just for visual purposes. One thing people don't seem to understand about Storm in animation or live action is that her power display is one of the most visually stunning of any of the XMen. Therefore it makes sense artistically for her to have long drawn out sequences. I hate when people use the animation to say things like "Oh she takes so long to use her powers etc.". If she whipped up things as quickly as she does in the comic books it would rob viewers of the opportunity to truly take in the sight of her powers. End of rant lol
Yh this is very true she has the most spectacular powers in the x-men. It's soo great that when she is doing her thing other x-men just pause to just witness how awesome it is. It's almost like a show a display of power. Hence why usually in animations and live action her power displays have their own matching theme songs. I vividly remember the evolution, animated series and fox movies theme songs about her.
