At least he's making the rounds in his usual guest appearances.
He will be headlining the new Defenders mini this summer/fall as well.

Fucking hell.
Death should be finishing just before the movie is released then - I smell a fake out. Surely he won't be dead when his movie is in the cinema!

Whatever it is we can be sure of two things:
1. It won't be permanent.
2. It's probably gonna suck either way.
But hey, at least we're getting some sort of event centered on him!
All we've got is the teaser image so far right? No details. Do we even know if it is set in current times and isn't some kind of the "The End" or Old Man Strange kind of potential future story, or a recycling of the been done before Stephen Strange has to die so Doctor Strange can operate in secret without endangering others plot we've seen every decade or so in the pages of Doc stories? It's not like we haven't seen the Death of Doctor Strange in the 60s and the 70s and the 80s and the 90s before or anything. I suppose they could add a tag line like "This Time We Mean It" to try to add some tension to it, but really, just more of the same we see from them on a regular basis when they run out of ideas of what to do with Doc Strange.

So, after years of Marvel writers sticking Strange in an endless loop of depower/repower, I guess they've finally found something new to do with him: kill him! Hahahaha! Considering the pending release of the next Doctor Strange film, I doubt they'll kill him off for good. He's died before. No one ever dies for good in Marvel.
