Remember when I theorized that Captain Krakoa was a revived/improved Cyclops and went on about his ridiculous headgear/ruby-quartz antennas? I was seemingly wrong. Rather than a revived Cyclops, it looks like Orchis is having one of theirs *becoming* a Cyclops doppelganger.

Anyone else a bit disappointed so far?

Really enjoyed Duggan’s Hellfire Gala issue and thought I might stick around after if he could maintain that level of quality on X-Men. So far he hasn’t, I’m getting bored again.

That seems like a plausible explanation for Captain Krakoa. Seems like an awfully easy trick and "takeover".

If that's the case, then it's just stupid writing- they could simply say that people of the Krakoa chooses the team, and he wasn't voted in, and it's unlikely a complete unknown would be accepted.

Then again, Duggan is the same writer than just turned Nature Girl into a serial killer, so...
