Scott Summers aka Cyclops Appreciation 2021

I didn't let it ruin things with my son. We went home and played several games of clix. I pulled Corsair that that day so I played Cyclops, Havok, Corsair, Vulcan and Forge (he has a power that is useful for characters with the X-Factor qualifier to them). It was fun, my son said I was playing "the Summers+Corsair's mustache brother".

It was weird though, its like the guy was expecting a "Cyclops, am I right bro?" moment. Which given the context of the exchange with my son, made no sense.

I'm glad things went well with your son.

I've never had that happen to me, but in a sort of "preemptive strike" I've got my roommate and close friends saying "Cyclops Was Right" as an occasional greeting or as a random joke. And if they join me at my LCS they'll be "Hey, did Cyclops ever do anything wrong?" "I don't think he did, I think he was right." It always cracks me up.

My current goal is to collect enough Cyclops Heroclix to have 1 for almost any line up. I'd post a picture of the ones I have, but I can't seem to work out how to do so.

I think he was in the main book a bit. Otherwise, I don't know, I avoided that event as I do with most of Marvel's events.

Cyclops and Jean have a great time both together and separately in the penultimate issue.

The two of them, Storm and Logan are the only relevant mutants in the event. I'd say Storm and Logan more in the early issues and Scott and Jean more in the later issues.

My point exactly. Scott's been in his late 20s/maybe 30 since forever. The guy was going through his post-DPS/Maddie/X-Factor trainwreck years during our early 2010s. His pop culture references repertoire from that era has got to be basically non-existent, right?

Someone thinks they can sing as well as Dazzler. Considering that Scott is a fan, maybe he's being forced to listen to a horrible cover version. The wildly off key singing is the best part. Whoever is on instruments is even worse.

It was Mystique in some scenes and the real Cap in others.

Cyke and Cap also had a storyline together in A+X, written by Duggan (he loves both characters).

Nice. Writers ususlly like to pit the two characters against each other but in my opinion they share a lot of similarities and should be a lot closer than what they are.
