Scott Summers aka Cyclops Appreciation 2021

So what do you guys think Scott and Steve are having a conversation about? Considering Steve is standing outside the Mansion I'm imagining Cyclops extended an invitation. Is this the first time they've spoken since AvX?

Cyke is probably talking about being back at the mansion. Cap is probably welcoming him and the team.

That being said, it's at least nice to know Scott has a story planned for this next year. Not sure what to expect beyond that tidbit of information, but it's nice to know.

It was Mystique in some scenes and the real Cap in others.

Cyke and Cap also had a storyline together in A+X, written by Duggan (he loves both characters).

He wrote that story with the skrull? Hm, that's interesting. Never realized it.

Honestly seen Captain America personally shake the hand and smile at someone who he previously came to blows with just makes Reed's hostility all the more childish.

In my experience its when characters are alike enough but just different in the right spots that make for real interesting conflict. In many cases you get to see that with Cyclops and Captain America. To me it came across as Cyclops emphasizing protecting everyone, with an emphasis of mutants, while Captain America is more a protector of the piece. Hence Cyke's point when he yelled at Cap about not doing enough for mutants, while Cap took issue with Cyclops shooting a gun out of a police officer's hand (can't remember if he only hit the gun or hit the officer's hand and hurt him as a result).

They're both determined, they both want to do the right thing, they both care about how things are done... but what is highlighted in their mission statements differ.

True. I mean it could very well end up being hogwash, but it's nice to think there are plans. It's at least better than the last year and a half where there was no direction or even attempt to claim one from the writers; but still, true.

Joke aside, how is that visor supposed to work in a combat situation? Or is it going to be like the X-visor?
