Scott being blamed for the actions of others seems like a return to normalcy, or at least a step along the way.

    A small step.

At least he didn't pass a joke.

Anybody have predictions on where the story is headed with regards to Ben Urich and Scott's autopsy?
    Does it need doing?
    Yes.
    Then it will be done.

I would think so considering it's a free uncontrolled flow that is blocked by the lenses.

It would be funny if it did make a small sound all the time.

Well, I have some jumbled ideas, but it certainly seems like "Captain Krakoa" might play a part.

    spoilers:

Looking at X-Men #4 preview looks like we will get at least a little glimpse of Scott not being completely fixed. Hopefully this one page isn't all there is to it.
    end of spoilers

It doesn't. It should, but it doesn't. No Prize Insane MU Science explanation would be something to the effect of the ruby quartz absorbing the blasts before they generate sound, I guess? Maybe there's something about it in some obscure Marvel Handbook?

So much for stealth missions, eh?

Captain Krakoa being the improved/augmented result of whatever Orchis did to that Cyclops corpse and joining the team as a PR stunt.

Of course, he could merely be a last minute Deux ex machina from Inferno who carries over to the main title. But then again, that would go against the entire concept of the x-election and would just be... terrible writing/plotting/editing.

    C
I've thought about this a lot growing up. I always rationalized it that its not so much the energy making the sound as the energy slicing through the air that makes the sound. So in my head we didn't hear anything when his visor or glasses were on because the blast was in a space where the air had already been displaced as his glasses are on with no new air to cut through. Perfect science? no...supported by cannon? No...not at all....but stops me from thinking on details that would drive me up a wall.

This sounds as a GREAT explanation. Thank you. It makes sense.
It reminds me of the "laser sound" that we hear in the movies, when Cyclops emits his optic blast.

    Never forget, Cyke fans~ https://twitter.com/i/status/1246248602768486402
Jean had more presence in death than Cyke in Hickman's entire run.
Hickman succeeded where 2010s Marvel didn't: make the X-Men villainous and irrelevant.
Hilariously, the X-Men have now fully embraced mutant supremacy and racism against humans.

Well, not much for Scott in X-Men #4.

    Any thoughts? Predictions becoming clearer?

Anyone else a bit disappointed so far?

Is Scott the very first comic book character in history to wear a visor without visible eyes, but depicting only a straight horizontal line?

It's also more "telling" instead of "showing".

I feel like that's the norm for now.
