The canon part was that she was angry at her dad for accusing Batgirl killing her brother (again), and they reconciled in Joker #1

Yeah she mentioned in the final arc of Burnside that she regretted didn't take Library Science, so immediately after that she's taking it, huh? But then she travels through Asia before coming back to Burnside.

Oh that's it then, but I thought she quit the congress job because she's being pulled in all direction between Bat fam, Justice League, being accused by her father, her relationship with Bard and her job.

    She quits Bard.

Being in Library Science she can do a few other careers like archivist or Paralegals

On another note since Babs was in Long Halloween. How long you think until we see her has Batgirl?
if she quits the congress job might as well back as a librarian, although Year One Babs didn't like it and feels she's stuck there.

if they're following the comics, then at least 4 years later. There's still Dark Victory the year after Long Halloween, then Robin Year One, then Teen Titans Year One.

    Why?

Besides, Wonder Woman already did that.

Is Batgirl year one in the same universe?

I don't want to re-read that issue but from what I remember she seemed to be quitting her dad.

I actually like Babs as Oracle . Maybe because when I started reading comics, she was already Oracle. But it's good if they have her do both. Never quite know with DC anymore. But as a day job, Librarian is perfect for her.

hopefully the film will have some impressive motorcycle stunts. I wonder will there be some jumping across rooftops on her cycle?

I really like Jorge Jimenez on Batman , at first I didn't like this design. But now it's growing on me, it seems very functional, practical for the job .

I'm curious if we do get a Batgirl year one animated movie. Who should voice her. I hope we also get a Birds of Prey animated movie.

I just can't get over how much this looks like her wearing clothes instead of a costume.

That's part of why I don't care for it.

    It's baggy and sloppy looking.

I thought the page drawn by Robbi Rodriguez in Nightwing also looked odd - out of proportion, Barbara having a really large lower body compared to her torso. On that splash panel, strange posture - twisted to the side. She looks completely out of shape, and is holding on to the staff as if she can't stand on her own. If she is supposed to look dramatically heroic - no, she looks like she's about to fall over.

But now this? It's got similar problems. But the Redondo and Campbell covers we've seen look much better to me, and Redondo is the designer after all.

And what's with that giant bat?

Jimenez likes parachute pants I think - his Ghost-Maker and Designer both have baggy pants.

Compared to Steph and Cass, this is just sad. If it's meant to look like an off-the-rack jacket on top of pajamas, well bring back Burnside - that's also handmade but it's a lot trimmer and fits better.

Maybe this will look better in the context of a panel, and with color. In general I love Jimenez's work.

I get trying to eschew something skintight so people (Cough)Clay Mann(Cough) don't go overboard with it but I don't really get the need for Babs to have to have functional, practical, costumes like that to the point where it's more clothes than costume sometimes.

The way I see it is that most likely they will use the Batgirl year one movie for the animated movie. This also makes me wonder if we will see her has oracle. Because she only appeared in the post credits in the original universe
