I thought the page drawn by Robbi Rodriguez in Nightwing also looked odd - out of proportion, Barbara having a really large lower body compared to her torso. On that splash panel, strange posture - twisted to the side. She looks completely out of shape, and is holding on to the staff as if she can't stand on her own. If she is supposed to look dramatically heroic - no, she looks like she's about to fall over.
But now this? It's got similar problems. But the Redondo and Campbell covers we've seen look much better to me, and Redondo is the designer after all.
And what's with that giant bat?
Jimenez likes parachute pants I think - his Ghost-Maker and Designer both have baggy pants.
Compared to Steph and Cass, this is just sad. If it's meant to look like an off-the-rack jacket on top of pajamas, well bring back Burnside - that's also handmade but it's a lot trimmer and fits better.
Maybe this will look better in the context of a panel, and with color. In general I love Jimenez's work.
