But didn't Larson's run have her leaving Burnside? I think the only connection with the Burnside run and the Rebirth stories by Larson was that Barbara hadn't ditched her Burnside outfit yet.

She left Burnside for only the first arc. The next arcs she's back in Burnside until she returns to Gotham and change outfit.

This was the same time joss whedon was working on a batgirl movie and geoff johns was working on both projects, so it adds up.

No, that was just an entry in a Batgirl Secret Files and Origins (2002) that featured Cass as the (then) current Batgirl.

That issue also included a story where Cass battled a simulated Barbara-as-Batgirl.





If you never read the story before, it does have a twist at the end.

Why does Castellucci seem to go to for Babs stories? I meanit's not horrible but the grasp of her is a bit weak and he introduces a bunch of things that don't get recognized in the wider mythos.
