I think part of the strategy is just so many DC movies are already in the pipeline, with 4 moves coming out next year. And the line is already blurring with big budget films going straight to filming with the rise of streaming, so I don't necessarily consider this a downgrade.

I think Batman needs to be in the Batgirl movie. He doesn't need to be a star but Batman is Barbaras icon/idol so I believe he does need to be in it to show that.

Wouldn't want him to be the star, but him appearing would be organic. She is a protege of his so would be cool to see him pass the mantel of sorts.

Just for the love of god I don't want them to follow the Batwoman route.

Just read on a Toy Collecting Forum that rumor is a Batgirl action figure from The Three Jokers book will be getting released. I hope this is true because she was perfect in that book.
