My only question for Alex would be; what sort of story and direction would you take Jason on?

We've seen the "prodigal failure" for too long outside a handful of people (and fanfic writers), and not to mention "being at odds with Bruce" thing as well. Honestly, the only good thing I've seen outside his own series in comics, was him killing Joker. Well, "a" Joker, but Joker nonetheless.

Another fanfic to add to the list;

Writing Destiny is about the events immediately following the events of UTRH comic book version. Death of the Endless comes in, and ships Jason off to the Marvel Cinematic Universe before it became the MCU. 6 chapters in, Jason is now dealing with SHIELD.

It's really nice. So far, I'm only chapter 4 but the author has a good style. It's a well-balanced mixture of classics (the neck wound, white streak), new stuff (mention of All-Blades) and fan wishes (interaction with Death).

More bat-titles coming later ln 2021 but still no news of a Red Hood solo... comon DC..

Second issue of back-up was better than I expected, and reveal was expected. it's obviously leading to FS: Gotham.
Also, I wonder, who Jason was talking to in the end.

Read DD 4.

- The Jason x Rose relationship is done a lot better here than it was last issue. I can actually buy them being a couple now.
- While it’s not out right stated (though heavily implied), I feel it’s safe to say I was right about why Jason’s doing what he’s doing in FS
- story ends with a To be continued so I’m assuming FS: Gotham picks up where this one left off.

If Rose/Jason is a thing DC intends to explore (which is still up in the air), I wonder if Jason will pop up in Deathstroke Inc or whatever it’s called.

Personally, I found issue 2 to be a meandering mess that took all the worst vices of Geoff Johns' works: reveals that come from nowhere, twists that only are there because "they're cool" but don't really fit the narrative, superfluous callbacks, forced conflict and an incredibly obnoxious "Buy the next series to get the full story!" and thanks to Generations Forged and the Linearverse, Future State is even more pointless now. Meh.

A pity, I really had high hopes for Williamson but he thoroughly dashed them in just two issues.

The portrayal of Rose in the first part was horribly one-dimensional and borderline sexist.
