I am genuinely surprised they didn't title the book "Daredevil and Black Widow" since it was literally the name of the magazine at the time. I actually thought it was weird to call the last Epic "A Woman Called Widow" since she didn't appear until about two thirds of the way in and it might cause confusion with the more Black Widow-centric one that follows. Apparently the solution is to not give the next one a Widow-centric title.

Anyway, my prediction is it'll be Issue 87-107 plus Avengers 111.

Yes, those issues would fit right. The Masterworks Vol. 10 also finished on DD #107.

Yes, those issues would fit right. The Masterworks Vol. 10 also finished on DD #107.

With #108 he's back in New York and it starts the Black Spectre story so the book would have to have a ton more issues or split that story up if it broke anywhere else.

I do indeed. There is so much more enjoyment in turning a page and being surprised.

I have been actually! Been delving into a lot of vol 1. Some pretty decent stuff here and there.

As of presumably the issue after next Hawthorne won’t be on Daredevil anymore. Anyone have any favorites who they’d like to pick up the reigns?

I do think so. I believe Vol. 1 had quite a high print run hence copies still being available. I used to monitor the figures for comics sold to North American Comics Shops as reported by Diamond. Daredevil Vol. 1 Omnibus sold 1,921 copies in its premiere month. By my calculations, this is the 24th best sale of all Marvel Omnibuses of which there are around 200 if not more.

Well, I think it would be great if Checchetto was the regular artist i.e. he draws every issue. If not, I would love to see Lee Weeks back on Daredevil or someone like Butch Guice or possibly Steve Epting.
