All I can say is wow, these 3 issues were great. This is such a good representation of who DD is, and the art was perfect for this story. Really glad I got this book.
Yes, the Angels Unaware story by Lee Weeks gives us the quintessential Daredevil. Not only do we see who Daredevil is but it's such a great story with excellent art. IINM, only issue 3 was not drawn by Weeks but by Cariello and Loughridge, and the art suufers slightly. Have you managed to read the remaining two stories of the Dark Nights anthology?

This quote is from the Spider-Man Beyond thread in the Spider-Man forum and is a thought I’ve had many times myself regarding how shamelessly uninspired Zdarsky’s run has been however well done it may be. Could this be why this run has yet to introduce any memorable new villains or storylines? Thoughts?

    Agreed.

His execution is *chef's kiss* but his ideas are uninspired .

DD in jail, an out of mind bullseye and a bullseye vs Elektra(set up) is just from this issue.

Yes. Zdarsky is unquestionably exceptional which makes the fact that he’s been mostly recycling one past idea after the other all the more apparent and disappointing.

I would love to see Daredevil face off with Mr. Negative and the Inner Demons. I can see a scenario where when Fisk is inevitably dethroned as Mayor, there will be a major power vacuum in the NY criminal underworld and Negative makes a play for it only to end up dealing with Daredevil. Of course if the desire is for Daredevil to go up against more villains exclusive to him then I say let Muse go up against him again. Overall, I concur with Nanashi in that Daredevil needs a break from both Fisk and Bullseye (and I'll even throw in the Hand).

Too bad she’s all cosmically powered now. I’d don’t imagine she’ll be in any DD stories again anytime soon. Not that she’s ever appeared regularly anyway.

It may just be an episode in her life and she will back to "normal" in the future.
