Matt Murdock: Daredevil Appreciation 2021

Daredevil is all about Matt Murdock, his blindness, his friends/allies (Foggy, Ben Urich, Natasha....) Hell's Kitchen, the losses in his life.... Elektra a)s Daredevil may be pretty good but she's not Daredevil, she's Elektra with her own history.

Out of interest, how much of Daredevil's previous runs have you read? I ask, because I'm sure if you'd had read some of what came before, you wouldn't have made the statement you made. I could be wrong but that's what I believe.

I think what helps dispel this idea is that Elektra doesn’t want to be Daredevil. She’s only doing it to earn Matt’s trust and help. Not to mention upholding Matt’s values as a hero is detrimental to her person since she’s a killer at heart and taking down foes otherwise has proven more difficult than need be. Once Matt is back in the suit there’s no reason whatsoever for her to continue as Daredevil. If nothing else, she’ll probably be relieved to not have to do it anymore.

I agree, although, there may be a slight change in Elektra's heart towards altruism in the future.

Maybe a bit of Alice will rub off on her but also the value of not killing everyone and becoming a better person by trying to do it "Matt's way".

This has been done much better than most if not all. Her awesome Daredevil design helps too.

Elektra's DD costume does score a lot of points in the design area.....

Maybe a bit of Alice will rub off on her but also the value of not killing everyone and becoming a better person by trying to do it "Matt's way".

I haven’t gotten any such impression from her at all. Besides, she is an assassin by trade. “Not even the stars are safe in the sky” and all that. She wouldn’t be the same if she just become another morally bound hero.

I believe she will revert back to her assassin mode but she has asked the question once or twice "How does Matt do it?" which IMO means that she's changing and working on her character. She will grow from this experience, and in a positive way, even if it may be in a small way.

It's up there with Spider-gwen which was the reason she survived.It's really good specially with the way Marco(not gonna try and write his last name, sorry) draws her hair.

You may be right. I took it as sort of an annoyance for her and awe of Matt. Her way is far more efficient so doing things Matt’s way is inconvenient but she also respects Matt’s ability to fight with what is probably to her incredible restraint to disable and/or disarm and not kill as well as he does.

That previous costume was not great, to put it kindly. Her classic design still reigns supreme.
