Despite being a lifelong X-Men fan, I feel that while all mutants are not dangerous, the damage that a handful can accomplice is plentiful.
Folks forget that the O5 X-Men formed X-Factor for the purpose of training mutants to help them control their powers.
Wolverine has been subject to mind control off & on for decades. Mind control or not, he has a history of attacking friends & foes.
Sabretooth has been a walking death machine for decades.
Magneto is a mass-murderer, on more than occasion.
Xavier has been shady since the silver age, and Magneto's BFF.
The one of the things that got me to stop reading Marvel regularly was when a Phoenix-powered Namor committed mass murder on Wakanda just to impress a surgically enhanced blonde. Namor was an X-Man at the time. A lot of readers cheered that which really disturbed me.
The worst thing, these and other murderers are all chilling together with long time heroes. Long time heroes are acting like villains. It should be noted that Namor wants nothing to do with mutants, from the looks of it.
While I love to hate Sinestro, I'd be terribly interested to see him seeking to regulate 616 Earth like he did Korugar.
While mutually arrogant & condescending, I can't see Namor submitting to Sinestro. I don't see Sinestro getting along with Namor, like with Black Adam.
The battle of the pointy eared bastards should be one for the ages.
I'd love to see Sinestro seek to tame the Hulk.
That would be the fun part.
I found it hilarious how some members of the JLA viewed Marvel Earth 616 during the Avengers/JLA series.
IIRC, Superman may have been under some influence to view Earth 616 with contempt (as Captain America viewed DC Earth).
Sinestro would need no influence to look down on Earth 616. He'd probably seek to recruit John Walker, Punisher, & Moon Knight, lol!
Watching Doom try to steal Sinestro's ring would be grand, too.
As I said before, the GL franchise works really well with the Marvel Universe.
