Thing aren't exactly the same, since in that Hal had no idea what was going on. Here, he has received the update from Jo so that may have changed things. But that's it for Hal this issue. Since it ends with his panel, one might be lead to believe it's significant, but who knows?

I'm messing around, but I am genuinely intrigued how Hal is still operational given that everyone else's ring either stopped working or blew up. But I think the darkness was just mood lighting.
