Hal more than most understands how hard it is to walk back from the most heinous of paths, so he does strike me as someone who (maybe after some time mulling it over) would let someone try and make amends for the harm they've caused. If he got to after Parallax, he would afford that to most as long as he was convinced they were sincere.

Yeah I would agree with that statement, I mean he nearly destroyed the green lantern corps and tried to destroy the universe in Zero Hour, but guess what he got better, made up for it, regained the trust of friends and colleagues, and moved past all that. So I think Hal would seriously be the forgiving kind of person....but cross him after that and you get the big green boxing glove.

Plus even without all that he and Sinestro have such an odd relationship at this point, I figured he’d just let him anyway especially if they might all die like they were worried of in Death Metal.
