Why would they if they'll spoil the ending of Morrison/Sharp's run? And Williamson specifically mentioned that they didn't want anything to get lost in the crowd by announcing too many books at once.

I would love King to write Hal because he clearly has a knack for the character. Ofc it all depends on whether we're getting the King of Darkseid War or Heroes in Crisis. But didn't HiC also suffer from editorial mandates etc or am I misremembering? I wouldn't mind a psychological Hal story but it all depends on the execution (I mean you could argue Darkseid War also gave us a glimpse into Hal's psychological makeup). The problem with HiC is not that it has therapy for the heroes or whatever - that's an interesting premise. It's just that the execution is terrible and makes little sense.

I don't know, I think it depends entirely on what story King wants to tell. Darkseid War one-shot was cool, that page from HiC is rubbish. Adam is getting destroyed in Strange Adventures, but at the same time King is building up Mister Terrific.

Same here, but I made the mistake of giving King the benefit of the doubt in regards to Wally West in HiC, so I could very well be wrong about this as well

Yeah he's a huge hit or miss, but I think he can do well with this character. I doubt Hal would be the kind of guy King would try to "deconstruct" somehow, especially after a run like TGL. I'm really curious to see him writing Hal Jordan because I genuinely have no idea what to expect of him. He did great on the Darkseid War GL special but that was still a one shot. If he did a Hal maxi-series it would be a totally different ballgame.

true but I would have said the same about Morrison, who has both written some of the best comics I have ever read, and also some of the worst. I could have a long box full of Morrison that is the best stuff I have ever read on a property, like his JLA and All Star Superman, but I also have more than a long box full of Morrison issues that I could set a match to if it wouldn't put holes in my collection. However Morrison while doing Morrison type things was very respectful of Hal in The Green Lantern, I was more than a little worried. Not of sales because Morrison moves units but he would do something to really hurt the franchise ala the New Gods after Final Crisis or his X-men run which wasn't referenced for years besides Xorn and Nova.

Here in México, Hal's dialogue was translated as "Ni siquiera sé quien diablos es "Will"/I don't even know WHO the hell "Will" is.

It made that page funnier, but I don't want King writing any character I like.
