I'm playing DC Legends for the first time and the whole time I got annoyed that Hal can't use his barrier ring to protect just one other person on the team besides himself, because Zatanna keeps dying lol

it would be a treat if we got more classic stories.

As long as it doesn't pigeonhole him as "the throwback Lantern", sure thing. That has always been my biggest issue with the grey streaks, not only made him less physically appealing but gave off the notion that he no longer belonged in a modern DCU landscape, that he was a relic from an old era. And I don't mind stories about the aging gunslinger and all that, but not when it's supposed to be one of your bigger characters or especially when none of his peers looked the way he did.

There was one, perhaps the most important of Hal's peers - Ollie. I think it was the success of "Longbow Hunters" and presenting a Green Arrow who was in his 40's that -by association- opened the door for Hal to be shown in the same age group.

I guess it's the notion of someone like Batman being a decade younger than Hal that just does not compute with me.
