That could likely be the next permutation of Hal's origin. He quit the Air Force because they wanted him flying a drone rather than being in the skies. And I suspect Ferris Air is going to end up looking more and more like Space X...

I feel like this could be something interesting to where Carol is torn between automatizing Ferris Air for the new world of aeronautics and how that conflicts with flesh and blood pilots.

I suspect Frontier has scrubbed the Ryan Reynolds film from his brain for his own protection

Seriously, though, that film isn't nearly as bad as its reputation. I've watched it multiple times with different students and they've always loved it. Granted, kids love plenty of mediocre films. There are still some in my generation who continue to maintain that Goonies and Transformers The Movie are good, despite being pretty terrible.

Which is exactly what the original Parallax was...

I said I won't judge this story before the mystery is revealed but I'm usually no fan of surprises when it comes to this character since they rarely tend to be that pleasant. Still, it's a good book so far and the art is great.

Did we read the same book? Hal was pretty ineffectual against Darkseid the whole time. Hopefully, he'll be able to stand against Darkseid next issue since Superman abandoned him.
