I agree with Bored that he's a solid B+ writer for the most part. Main thing I've read of his so far that I've actually really dug was his Hawkman.
Hal & Pals and Superman '78 work were both fine/serviceable.
His mini-run on JL however was bad imo.

I actually enjoyed his JL run a lot, thought it was solid filler. Of course I’m sure his writing of Diana is why it fell short for you. Venditti is solid but he never really seemed to have any deep love or appreciation for Hal. Originally Posted by Gaius

His version of "incompetent leader" Hal made me drop the book. His Hal from "HJ&GLC" was much better, though his stories were all lackluster, imo. Originally Posted by Gaius
