I like that he always stands up for the character, but I really wish he didn't have to. Not liking a character doesn't make them boring. It's idiotic.

Which couldn't be anymore ironic considering most people(that I've seen at least) tend to insult the character precisely to try to prop up their favorite GLs. Sharp has drawn Hal non-stop for the past 2+ years now and he seems to have grown quite fond of him, it's not unreasonable he could be taking comments that knock Hal's character as an attack towards his own work as well.

If memory serves, he was offered Green Lantern, but turned it down in order to do Watchmen.

I didn't like Watchmen that much so I'd prefer if he made different decision. I mean, it couldn't have been worse than what we got in GL movie, right?
