I'm stocking up on HJ&TGLC trades to fill that very same void. Sounds like a fun idea.

Looking back, that was a somewhat underrated run. Venditti did well with it after a rough start when he first took over from GJ.

An iconic iook but for me just like I love the Mcfarlane Venom most of all but Bagley's is good) for me no one captures the majesty of Par(Hal)lax like Darryl Banks, though George Perez (the GOAT) came close.

Don't know if it was just the curse of following an all time run or if Vendetti just found Hal in particular and the GLC in general's voice. HJ&tGLC was infinitely better than his Green Lantern run.

Agreed. Following Johns was bound to have been an insurmountable task and, at the time, Venditti was found wanting. His run on HJ&GLC was much better.

I think that also prejudiced some people against Venditti since they thought he would write more of the same crap in the new book. HJ&GLC still has its flaws but it was a lot more enjoyable than whatever he was trying to do before that. The double shipping helped matters too since that book was often such a quick read. lol

While Venditti's HJ&GLC was much better than his earlier GL work, his X-O Manowar is still better than either, imho.

I'm gonna say that may be because his X-O was my introduction to the character; I didn't have 25 yrs history with him like I did with Hal to compare it to.

I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but I think the plans that DC had for Hal that hasn't been announced yet just got accidentally leaked.

Despite reports to the contrary, Morrison's not done with DC yet. Morrison & Janin are doing Superman & The Authority. Now, I could be completely wrong, but this sure sounds like the kind of story that Hal could play a part in, particularly since Morrison ended up falling in love with him over the past few years.

What do you think? Am I crazy here or does this make sense?
