Seems like Kurt's patience finally runs out in issue 4.
People theories of Kurt being the 'kindly one' relating to the furies and Fae folk were right on the money.

I'm still not clear if Way of X is ongoing or a mini!
Good interview though.

I’m wondering if there is a five issue story then SOMETHING happens, (the opening up of the Tower? Kurt being elected pope?) then Si has more stories to tell? But that would break the momentum somewhat.
I’ll take all the Way if X Marvel will give us, just my kind of book.

Never been fond of the idea of Kurt as a priest, can’t comment on whether he has a calling, but he’d hate the celibacy. And giving up hero work.
If he wasn’t a superhero or an acrobat, if he was just a normal human, I think he would have made a brilliant social or youth worker, he’s non-judgemental and kind and a good listener.
I was reading a recap of early Uncanny and it’s astonishing how often Kurt cries and also how frequently he reaches out to his friends, particularly Scott who’s going through issues when Jean becomes Phoenix. I thought it was in later years that “soft” Kurt came along, but no, he’s there from near the start.

Eh, Kurt seems to be fine not having a romantic life though I don't think that has to do with celibacy at least for a long while since he would be that way even after the "priesthood" because it was like you may leave the preisthood but it doesn't leave you. But remembering not long after Austen where Stacy X throws herself at him he's connecting romantically or some its at least teased with: Ororo, Rachel, Betsy and Night Nurse and do we even count the flirting from Amanda? Well, I rather not. Kurmanda are over in my head... its that - the romance - that doesn't leave him in the end. And I'm not sure how I feel about that. I rather him not have to be one or the other BUT its been so long since a relationship has even been approached seriously with Kurt that it would be refreshing as a story instead of the same old thing. But then you may get the same old thing with that too which is: a lot of times its making the male look pathetic which was to change the candy on the arm from the 60s with women ( though, that at times tries to make its return). Or it may end bitterly and these once friends or team mates wont be able to even socialize on the same level without snarling at each other. But that's only a problem for people like me because Betsy is a friend and others may have ideas outside his friendship circle but its a double edged sword for me as I'd like them to have what I deem an interesting connection so I would not want to see just anyone thrown in.

I like the idea of the former priest turned celebrity. But only if it doesn't take away completely from super-heroics.
