Super agree. I really disliked the bamfs. They were sort of fun in WatXM, but mostly because I assumed they were leading to something Crawler-related. And they had individual bits I liked - Pickles, and stealing Logan's whiskey, etc. But then in Amazing they were so cute... why? It was more like the style in the old days, sure, but it was drastically different from how they looked in WatXM. And they stayed that way. Idk, I guess also personally, I don't enjoy Crawler having an entourage of baby Crawlers. I felt it was a bit anime. But I'm also not cool with the "the whole kit and caboodle just teleported out of existence!" way of handling it.

I didn’t really care for the Bamf entourage either, but they were okay in small doses. The artists really did have a number of looks for them. It was weird to see these cute little red critters being led by Azazel. It doesn’t really match his image.
I started thinking of them like Gremlins, all cute like Gizmo until fed after midnight.

I still kind of like the BAMFs though I don't know why under Aaron they didn't start out as chubby but more slender and regular human with those movie like tats then back to the little chubby Cockrum style.

I rather enjoyed the earliest issues of Ultimate X-Men like the one above. I just like to think UNC hit his head or something.

I collected them in the beginning but tapped out after everyone just started being awful to each other. I’m glad I didn’t get to the point where Kurt’s character started getting butchered.

Yeah I think we're agreed lol. It wasn't bad in the beginning but boy, some of the story choices... I heard it got back on its feet post-killing almost everyone, but by then I was long gone.
