So Raven just got Kurts sympathy vote. I'll just think of it like that which it basically is if he is did it to be nice.

We know all the background machinations with Moira/Xavier etc but Kurt doesn’t, plus he’s been hanging with David and seen up close how Xavier treats his son.
And forgiveness is very much in Kurt’s character. Irene has never done anything to Kurt (and it’s quite possible that he knows what she means to Rogue - sigh, wouldn’t it have been nice to see this in canon?)

Just going from memory here, but I think I read somewhere that CC’s legends issue is tied to what’s happening now. Perhaps something in there influences Kurt’s choice.

But it’s just as likely that it is a sympathy vote, Kurt (Ororo or Kate for that matter) don’t really have a reason to say no to her being on the council as they were all in the dark about why Destiny could be a bad choice.
Plus he’s not into the mini alliances and behind the curtain dealings like the rest of the council are.
Kurt also said that his vote probably won’t matter, not sure what to read into that: could be that Kurt’s well aware that votes are influenced and the ones with the most power get what they want. Or he’s saying it from experience, from memory Kurt’s been on the opposing side a number of times.

I thought the Legends story was set way, way back in the Mutant Massacre days? Of course, that certainly doesn’t preclude it having repercussions now once it’s canon.

Maybe Kurt voted yea because he knows that Destiny's his real mom, and this way his whole family's on the council.
