This is sexy! Appreciate that! (You don't really see this level of unabashed sveltely toned bad-boy anti-hero/etc. look for young/youthful Black males. Not ones you're intended to identify with, anyway, compared to the many White and Japanese/Manga/Anime male examples there tend to be.)

Also, I'm glad initial rumblings trend positive. I'm still rather upset at how Khalil was handled and then punked in the early portions of the Black Lightning series, and so him getting spun-off into his own show really soaking in who he has now become (a cool, powerful, unambiguous and unapologetic badass) feels cathartic. I'm rooting for this show.

Not sure if he'd be as cool and nuanced as the CW's Painkiller/Kahlil Payne (innocent upstanding adolescent, turned victim of cruel circumstance, turned reluctant villain, turned dead, turned resurrected split personality villain, turned Anti-Hero). As far as I know, his comics version doesn't even have an actual name to him. Supposedly, he appeared a few times back when before dying in his 4th or whatever appearance.

I think him and thunder as Blackbird is salvageable for the comics

Really excited for this. The first Mister Miracle I knew was Shilo due to making the mistake of buying Final Crisis as a kid at the bookstore solely off of loving Alex Ross’ cover and Morrison as a writer of the sporadic JLA issues I had read. Didn’t understand a word of what I was reading but Shilo was cool and I wanted to know what his deal was. Would be almost a decade before I finally read Seven Soldiers and learned more about Shilo. Easton is mixed, his Mister Miracle backups didn’t do too much for me, but I loved his Truth & Justice and Superman Red & Blue stories, and the art looks fantastic. Hoping for a banger here.

I hope they add actual DC characters to this. As much as i like CW's DC stuff. I become annoyed when there's so many OC's and barely any characters from actual canon. It's the DC UNIVERSE for godsakes, go crazy!

The CW barely uses originally created characters. Most of the ones they use are from the comics.

Clyde Mardon, Mr. Blank, Cutter, Mallus, Arrow's version of Prometheus, Flash's version of Zoom, Eva McCulloch, Vincent Sobel (Vigilante), Kuasa, Rene Ramirez (Wild Dog), Curtis Holt (Mister Terrific) and I'm sure there's more. But hey, what do i know right?

They still don't outnumber the comic canon characters. Even Curtis Holt is just Michael Holt under a new name and Flash's version of Zoom is not an original character. He just disguised himself as an OC for a while.
