Re-join, technically. She was a member during the Matt Fraction run as Red She-Hulk. But yeah, its nice to see her in the mix. And I am definitely excited to see Cloud included too.

I'll weight the options of trade wait vs subscribe to this. I tend to trade wait minis 90% of the time. My current exception being the Beta Ray Bill one but I digress.

The roster:

Writer Al Ewing and artist Javier Rodríguez are reviving the Defenders team for a five-issue series debuting this August. From the looks of the cover, this series' line-up appears to be Doctor Strange, Silver Surfer, Red She-Hulk, the Masked Raider, and Cloud.

I only know of Masked Raider by name only, not sure I've read the character that I recall. He's a western character?
Cloud...I have no idea who this is. I see a wiki read in my future.
Red She-Hulk? Granted that is my preferred alter ego for Betty but isn't this Harpy essentially rolling out of Ewings Immortal Hulk tenure?

Silver Surfer and Dr. Strange, two of the OG Defenders makes it one for heavy consideration for me all the same.

Cloud is in great hands. Ewing does a terrific job with all characters, but specially with those that haven't been used in a long time.

The new book looks really good. I love how weird the line-up is and I can't think of a better creative team for a book like this.
Hopefully it does well so we can get a few more issues at least.

Marvel revives the Defenders for a "cosmos-colliding journey" from Al Ewing & Javier Rodríguez

The others seem okay, especially the Surfer, but I can't say I liked much the artist's interpetration of the Doc. I like Ewing, but will wait for the TPB, and check on people's opinion on it.

Brunhilde is still dead. The only current Valkyries are Jane Foster and Runa, the two stars of the current Mighty Valkyries comic. If they use a Valkyrie, it would probably be Jane. She's Doctor Strange's friend anyway, he works at the same hospital as her and is one of the few to know her secret identity.
