Goliath, monet, blue marvel, trinary and misty knight. Originally in one of the versions monet was sitting on goliath shoulder and flirting with him instead of blue marvel.

I just found out that Marvel did a comic of meteor man back in the day. Do they still have the rights to him?

Same here it was definitely a good movie. I remember the little kid worrying about whether his super powers would develop. lol

I doubt it. It was originally released by, what studio, MGM? It would be interesting to see if Robert Townsend bought back the rights over the years. Is he on social media at all?
Maybe he could turn it into a television series, 6 episodes a season or something.

Townsend is on Twitter, but he hardly ever tweets.

Default Marvel can't seem to do right by black characters

Why is it that Marvel can't seem to do right by their black characters? From short
term stories with no lasting impact, to discarding heroes shortly after they are
made... over and over we see a dismal effort to do right by their black heroes. Why?

Thanks! Seriously, I would do this in a heartbeat. And not even as a What If? scenario. It would just be canon that Wakandans have advanced on the evolutionary ladder, but that fact would be one of many secrets that are never publicly acknowledged.

And just for the fun of it, I'd probably also establish that all Wakandan women are low key telepaths. It's not purely psionic, but something analogous to it that other telepaths (mutants and others) can't detect. It's not just a woman's intuition you're dealing with when you meet a Wakandan woman. She literally knows what you're thinking. All of the women do. But that, too, would be a well-kept secret, one that is hidden from Wakandan men, including the King. And, of course, the ultimate keepers of that secret would be the Dora Milaje. Suffice to say, women have acted in ways and even died in order to protect that secret over the course of Wakanda's long history.

I think it would be good if more Black superheroes (and other non-White superheroes) had powers besides strength, speed, flight/levitation and energy beams, that aren't based on previous heroes.

Cytonius returns to discuss the true civil rights allegory of the Marvel comics series: X-men.
