I’m sad that none of my favorite ladies at Marvel (and gosh, most of my favorite non-ladies) are being featured regularly in ANY books.

You'd hope that Monica would be a core staple of a team by now, if not one of the marquee characters. I get that the Avengers roster changes often, and Monica more often than not gets attached to Avengers-adjacent teams quite often, but still, there's nothing quite like the FF, where you know 90% of the time Reed, Ben, Johnny and Sue are going to be featured.

I wonder if the prominent use of the phrase "On the Spectrum" when referring to the Autism scale is a deterrent for the use of that for that name for Monica in the MCU.

Maybe but I doubt it considering spectrum is also associated at least as much with light

Sometimes companies are overly cautious about such things, but I don't think that's the case here. Both the etymology of the word and the fact that it has been used by physicists from the 17th century to the present should obviate any concerns.

It's good to see Monica, in one form or another, make an impact. From the preview, though, it appears the actual entity that took care of the Beyond Corp in Mighty Avengers won't be a part of this upcoming story arc. That's too bad. It would have been nice to see Kevin Brashear again.

She is capable of turning her body into a solid light form. It's similar to what we see with Dr. Light, the Green Lanterns, Moonstone, and several others who can create solid objects out of some form of photons. My guess is that is the explanation writers will use to explain how she's holding the Ebony Blade. It's either that or they'll say that the magical attributes of the EB allows it to be carried by its wielder in any form. Even if the wielder was a ghostly apparition.
