That is a pretty nice look even though it’s basically movie-Captain Marvel’s in black and white, but I also always like something “flowy” with Monica’s costumes. Whether it’s the “wings” or the trench coat, I think the added bit of flair always looks good on her.

Agree. I just think it's a little lazy for Marvel to call her Spectrum, but then dress her in a black and white costume from neck to toe.

Plus, I miss the good old days when a character would get a completely new costume whenever they changed their name. When Dick went from Robin to Nightwing, he got a new, cool costume. When Jean went from Marvel Girl to Phoenix, she got a cool, new costume. When Carol went from Warbird/Ms. Marvel to Captain Marvel, she got a new costume.

I'd really like them to complete the makeover with Monica -- and I don't mean with a costume that is basically a callback to her original superhero identity. Go all out, sparing no expense and leaving no haute couture uncovered. Have the Wasp help her, if necessary.

Just don't make it combat armor or anything like that. Monica doesn't really need it. If they'd write her according to her powerset, most of the time she's invisible, untouchable and moves at the speed of light. And when she isn't intangible, she also has the power to make herself a "hard light" form, that also likely affords her some measure of strength and invulnerability. A foe powerful enough to harm her at that point won't be concerned at all with body armor of any kind.

In short, Marvel if you're reading this, please give Spectrum a new costume. Make it colorful, flowing, and maybe even something that gives at least the illusion that she's flesh and blood, so that she doesn't completely freak out the normal human beings that she's there to save. But remember: no combat armor, no trench coat, no mask, no callback to Captain Marvel ........ and resplendent color. (What do you have in lilac?)

I don't think any of Monica's fans will forget that, or any of the other indignities and instances of hate subsumed within editorial and/or creative license. The MCU isn't that much better.

Reading up on FRBs or Fast Radio Bursts. (See below link, if interested.)

Imagine Monica being able to release enough energy in a single fast radio burst to match the energy the sun unleashes in a year. Now remember, the sun puts out exponentially more energy per second than the entire planet uses in a year. So a year's worth of the sun's energy output is almost inconceivable. But FRBs are capable of that and possibly more. And with the frequency of multiple bursts every minute.

It's at times like this that I really wish that Monica was written to her true capabilities. Granted, she'd have to be fighting a Celestial or something like that, but I would love to see her cut loose.

That's just about planet busting, monica has already been implied to have that during the lead up to secret wars where she decided against it. More specifically FRBs release energy 10-100 times less than that in the actual recorded ones i've seen
